  1. I agree, the website teamliquid.net is atrocious to navigate. Let's take a second to evaluate why this fruit is not yet ripe for the picking.
  2.
  3. First off, as mentioned in the op, teamliquid.net is extremely confusing to navigate. The colors are extremely bland, and the menu bar at the top has way too many options to sift through when looking for the section I want. I won't even get into how annoying the side bar is, but suffice to say it does nothing but waste my screen space with useless information such as how many people like a post, or links to crappy flash games.
  4.
  5. The second reason why teamliquid.net is a horrible website is because of the lackluster moderation. When I browse Reddit, I feel confident knowing that 99% of the posts in a thread will be meaningful and relevant to the topic at hand. Not so much on TL. Unlike Reddit, where I can always expect to get both sides of the story, teamliquid only provides one view on things, and that's the view of the mods. It's so frustrating when I'm trying to read a thread and gather insightful information and I have to constantly sift through these posts with nuke icons and red text all over. It completely kills any immersion I have in the thread. Reading through this thread on Reddit I see nothing but professional, legit, and accurate information pertaining to the topic. There is no trolling, no flaming, and best of all the mods are not biased and don't step in to modify posts to their liking, as is done on teamliquid.
  6.
  7. Another reason why Reddit is far superior is because of the effort put in by the staff to help improve the eSports scene. With amazing casters such as Diggity and TotalBiscuit, and top notch tournaments like the Reddit Invitiational, I can safely say that without Reddit SC2 would probably not be watched at all right now. If Reddit could somehow secure Kellymilkies, then I'm pretty certain teamliquid would cease to exist as far as casting and tournaments go. All of these amazing commentators and tournaments are further improved by the glorious Upcoming Events twitter feed. I can see exactly what events are coming up, with detailed information about them, as well as direct links to the event thread (which is always full of professional-quality posts and information).
  8.
  9. Last but not least, the Reddit community is just far superior. There's no doubt in my mind that the worst poster on Reddit is more knowledgeable about StarCraft II than some of the best posters on teamliquid. When I need information on a build order, or help improving my gameplay, Reddit is my first and only stop. Let's face it... between the terrible navigation of teamliquid.net and the lack of good players browsing their forums, there's really no debate - Reddit is truly at the top.
