In London, the violent Detective Sergeant Tom Brant is in trouble with the press and his superiors request a low profile attitude from him. When a cop killer called Blitz attacks police officers in London, Brant is assigned to the manhunt with his chief, the gay cop Porter Nash. His investigation shows that the criminal is the hoodlum Barry Weiss, but the police can not find any evidence against Barry. When he is released from jail thanks to his lawyer, Brant and Nash put Barry under surveillance expecting a new attack of the Blitz.
Detective Sergeant Tom Brant who is dispatched to take down a serial killer hell bent on killing off the police force one by one. "The Blitz" manages to slip through the grasp of Tom every time, and with the precious lives of his colleagues diminishing one by one, Tom is led to the question: if we can't protect our own, then what good are we?
This was a god movie tightly written directed and produced with high production values. I recognize a couple actors from (Homicide and the wire) and the script is lifted from (HOMICIDE Life on the street") as a loser takes to wiping out police officers. And this one follows in the path of 39 steps. Anywise Jason STRATHAM plays the cool cop who's just too cool apparently in a police station that holds 200 officers mainly black and swarthy looking he's the only one who can solve crimes or defend themselves in a bar room brawl, the other officers are all overhead just meat bags in white shirts, because only this faulted cop with his ranging alcoholism black out drunk over aggressive violent tendencies can make it through the day without being raped. He plays a rogue tough, hard-boiled cop, but accepts the gay by the book partner even passes out at the guy's apartment. He has a bottle of hard liquor for the alcoholic deputy inspector friend and even accepts the drug addicted black female cop.
Big regrets here. <br/><br/>It was late. I was tired. I figured, I really didn&#39;t want to think too much, if at all, so I&#39;ll play it safe and just put a Statham flick on. <br/><br/>I&#39;m not familiar with the source material, but this will be weak tea for any Statham fan. Just lame, cliché-ridden, &quot;Dirty Harry&quot; stuff from beginning to end without any compelling story. The book has got to be better, it certainly couldn&#39;t be worse. Not quite as bad as a two, but no way I&#39;ll give it more than a three. <br/><br/>Basically, I&#39;m just so mad at myself--I could have grabbed so many other movies, and I went instead with this run-of-the-mill TV-grade pulp. At least it was short. My bad.
