My heart is a puzzle,
Pieces sprinkled in a happy day,
In my world, in the things you say,
I take them in and I just soar,
As my heart grows a little more.
Piece by piece I begin to see,
The beauty that it could truly be.

It's with your help that I can grow,
The way you smile and how you know,
I'm lost or hurt or even scared,
And in your hand you have prepared,
The piece that my heart was missing.
So with you, I share my only smile.

My heart is like a hole,
A blackness in my chest that gapes,
Pieces that fit, now pointless shapes,
Festering painful and rotting away,
Leaving me only a meaningless day...
But you take me with you either way.

My heart is a thing that hurts.
Without a cause it hurts so bad,
I've always been a little sad,
But this is different, this is wrong,
Dancing to someone else's song...
But for you, I give my only smile.

I tried to hide but you could see,
The true depths of my misery,
And with my pieces bleeding red,
Your perfect heart, you gave instead.
So why, now with this perfect day,
Why did the pain not go away?
My heart is yours. I hold onto your happiness...
Desperately.

But the pain doesn't stop. The pain never stops.
It only intensifies.
Why am I broken? Why does it hurt?
When I have everything I want to cry,
