(08/21/19) Pamndra of The Primary: Chapter 1

(pretty much a copy and paste from announcements)

-Prior to event for oto 1-

Shortly after the Sorakage’s Address, information bestowed upon him led to the dispatch of a group of Shinobi. Each and every one masked and cloaked in black. Its not often that these shinobi are seen in broad daylight and the nature of their existence is mostly shrouded in mystery. But most know them as The Otogakure Anbu.

After a few days, they return to the Kage’s mansion. Instantly, the building is up in a stir. Ripe with commotion. When it finally dies down, a voice can be heard breaking across the village's load speaker.

“Attention all available Shinobi. Recent information has revealed to us the location of a facility we believe to be a supply source for the clown terrorist. We’ve pinned it down to Damurabe Island between the Lightning and Water territories .It is believed that this island, and the facility located on it, belong to The Orin Company.  A raiding party comprised of two or three squads will be sent to destroy this facility in two to three month’s time. This will be a B ranked mission with the possibility of becoming an A rank. Be prepared.”



-Prior to event for oto 2-
It’s been almost a week since the Otogakure flags were first seen on the Damurabe Island’s horizon. But till this very moment, it's felt like the perfect oxymoron. Eternity in a day. From the moment you saw the first ship shatter in a hail of fire and splinters, dirtying the sea with streaks of scarlet, to now. Hardly a wink of sleep. You didn’t have time to. Your mind and body wouldn’t -let- you. Because you’ve seen what dropping your guard, even for a fucking second, can do. People you’ve seen in the academy, even if you never really spoke with them, gone. Just like that. Like some god writing the story of their life just up and decided that this is where their story ends. A pile puddle of blood in the sand, a bit on your shirt, and just a little bit more of them in your mouth. You refuse to be next. Fate be damned.

The operation didn’t begin as planned. The Otogakure military was well aware that the enemy boasted a private military of their own. However, they made the mistake of underestimating weapons manufactured by The Orin. Top of the line cannon fire, rarely seen in shinobi warfare where chakra is king. Even if Otogakure had the numbers, the geography and the lack of stamina needed to use these war machines evened the field.

The objective sits at the top of a hill, and its been a slow climb to the top, but Otogakure is expected to get their first peak at the precipice by 0-800 hours (icly).




-Prior to event for shio 1-

After a brief encounter out in the Shio-Oto contested territory, the efforts of The Salt Water Koi manage to win over a wealthy Aristocrat. Shifune Atani. A young woman well known as the seventh seat on The Atani board. This inspires her to pay visit to the up-and-coming village and, much to her surprise, find that the Salt Water Koi held true to their word. The place was really on the mend, no longer the heaping pile of lice and shit it'd once been.

This inspires the woman to hire the Shiogakure shinobi for an important mission. One that will bring them in direct opposition to the raid plans of Otogakure. Within one months time, a large party of Shiogakure Shinobi will undertake one of their first big B-A ranked missions as an actual village.

-Prior to the event for shio 2-

It’s been two weeks since The Culgoa anchored off the southern shoreline of Damurabe Island. Plenty of time to get nice and cozy in wait for the heavily anticipated day. Before you departed Shiogakure, a few members of The Atani made sure to inform you on their delay. Which is something you probably suspected would happen. Otherwise, why would they hire your people to fend off Oto’s raiding parties? Companies like that take time to make moves. Jumping through legal hoops that those of Shiogakure don’t have to.

 A week after your mercenary party settled in, you heard the call. No, not word of the Atani finally making landfall, but of The Sound’s naval flag. Breaking across the north-eastern horizon instead of the west. The direction they were expected to come from. This means they must’ve sent their ships around The Land of Lightning’s coast. Your people scrambled into formation, reinforcing the east-line with weapons. It gave Otogakure a bit of a head start, but the Orin Militia managed  to keep them at a slow advance.

At 0-600 hours today (icly), the Atani finally managed to dock their ship on the southern coast, ready to start scavenging what research they could before the raiding party from oto could destroy it. Now, you make your way to the battle field, ready to fend off Otogakure’s forces for as long as you can.

-Event summary-


At 0-800 hours, the Eastern-Otgakure Vanguard broke across the Damurabe mountain top after a week long struggle that really gave meaning to an up-hill battle. Wave after wave of otogakure chuunin fed to the onslaught of Orin cannon fire until they finally made it close enough to glare into the blood-shot whites of the enemy company’s eyes.

A skirmish broke out, but most of the vanguard remained pinned down. Fortunately, they’d made it close enough to the base to move on to the next phase of the operation. Deploying the Raiding party.

 Yatsuhiro, Yuudai, and Shiro faced off against Shinsou, Saichi, and Setsuna. At first, The Eastern Raiding Party were outnumbered when they faced the Mercs, but the late arrival of Yuudai leveled the playing field. It wasn’t long before Shinsou ran out of energy and was forced to retreat, striking a blow to The Orin force’s morale. Shiro followed up by destroying the enemy canons, making it so the back line can push unhindered. Sachi and Setsuna did their best to restore morale by capturing Yatsuhiro, but by that time it was too late. The battle swayed in the way of The Oto Forces and The Orin signaled a retreat.

By 0-900, what remained of The Eastern Vanguard and their raiding party turn their sights towards the Damurabe research facility, progressing further towards their objective.
