  1. The concept of Miiverse clones was doomed to die out someday. It was a fun little concept, but it seemed way to much like a fad. Miiverse itself was an obscure website that not a lot of people bothered to use extensively, so that would mean that the userbase of these clones would be even smaller and even more obscure. And yet, against all odds, this concept has survived the span of 2 years and continues to be built upon as I am writing this.

  3. Miiverse clones have a stupid long history. I was a very active user on these clones, making over 20000 posts in total. Thus, I stored a bunch of this information in my memory. While my memory has started to fade a bit, I'm still doing my best to document everything.

  5. Miiverse clones have a habit of dying. Some of the biggest clones - Closedverse, Oasis, Indigo - have suffered the same fate of being shut down. This is why I take archiving so seriously, because the huge amount of information would otherwise go to dust. Though, doing it at this moment is fairly difficult, as it is much easier to find information about things on clones when the site is still up and you can search for things using the built in features rather than having to scroll through the Wayback Machine to find even a bit of significant info.

  7. Nobody really bothered to do a significant wiki on Miiverse clones. There was once an attempt at making a wikia for Closedverse, however this was taken down because Arian didn't like it. I guess that scared people off. Closedverse Dramatica was the closest to a wiki on Miiverse clones, however it was more or less structured like Encyclopedia Dramatica: articles did not take a serious tone and were very biased, which affected the presentation of information (something I don't believe Gnarly cared about when making it). I've been thinking about doing this sort of wiki for months - however, I didn't have the proper programming knowledge to make a website and didn't like the idea of using Fandom. Eventually, I realized that I could easily make a Google site. I decided to boot up my Chromebook (which I haven't touched in months), and now we're here.

  9. Plus, making this wiki gives me more stuff to do on my free time. I am tired of Twitter since it's a pool of politics and drama, and not an alternative to clones at all. Unlike the drama on clones, I don't care about making an input on the subject, since the majority of people won't care about it. Twitter is a really big social media site, something clones aren't. Reddit is fun, but I barely have the opportunities to post there.

  11. Did I make it because it is my "duty" to archive clones? Did I make it to fuel my own ego? I have no idea.
