  1. Jade Cocoon - minion codes
  2. --
  3.
  4. game: Jade Cocoon - Story of the Tamamayu (E) [SLES-02201]
  5. emulator: ePSXe 1.9.0
  6. program: Cheat Engine 6.4
  7.
  8. --
  9.
  10. You can change the model and skin of the minion in slot 1.
  11.
  12. How I found it:
  13. 1) go to Mahbu/Ra and go to the Equip screen and do an unknown value search
  14. 2) switch a minion so a different one is in slot 1
  15. 3) do a changed value search
  16. 4) repeat steps 2 and 3 to get down to around 100 addresses
  17. 5) add all addresses that have the same to the list
  18.
  19. my addresses:
  20. 00B5A692 < model
  21. 00BA693 < skin

  24.
  25. Every minion has an ID, and that is hexidecimal in nature.
  26. example:
  27. I discovered the code whilst using Arpatron as the test subject.
  28. Arpatron has an ID of 24, which is 36 in decimal.
  29.
  30. The first address you find changes the model.
  31. The second address you find changes the skin.
  32. The rest change various parts of the model, like the face, legs, etc.
  33.
  34. Change all the values of the addresses to a value to completely change the appearance of your minion to the desired minion of choice.
  35.
  36. NOTE 1: changing all the addresses sometimes screw with the final result, e.g. Minion (Dark Arpatron). In this case, just change the skin and model address to the desired choice.
  37.
  38. NOTE 2: changing all the addresses to the value of a human boss crashes the game. Eternal Corridor bosses work fine.
  39.
  40. Unobtainable minions I showcase in this video: (shamelessly copypasted from my research file)
  41. Colunius
  42. Shakures
  43. Ibdamia
  44. Ketow
  45. Lakshel
  46. Setolka
  47. Sbarse
  48. Tyton
  49. Ehsp
  50. Rashaba
  51.
  52. Most are elemental variants of existing minions:
  53.
  54. Tweengo variants:
  55. Colunius // fire
  56. Shakures // air
  57. Ibdamia // earth
  58. Ketow // basically Tweengo but with different stats
  59.
  60. Sherick variants:
  61. Lakshel // basically Sherick with same stats but green head + tail rather than blue
  62. Setolka // air
  63. Sbarse // earth
  64. Tyton // water
  65.
  66. Ehsp is a water-based chameleon-like minion that is never encountered. It looks a lot like a Agghai but is a lighter blue. It's elemental variants are encountered in the Eternal Corridor only.
  67.
  68. Rashaba is a fire-based snail-like minion that is never encountered. It looks a lot like a Nupandra but is a darker red. It's elemental variants are encountered in the Eternal Corridor only.
  69.
  70. Vatolka:
  71. ID hex | value dec
  72. 25 37
  73. 26 38
  74. 27 39
  75. 28 40
  76.
  77. Vatolka is a minion that can be captured when using a Pocketstation in memory card slot 1.
  78. It appears instead of Arpatron in the Koris capturing tutorial.
  79. You only get the fire type, though there are rumors that you can legit catch the other elements.
  80. Outside of hacking, this is the only way to get the air, water, and earth elemental types of Vatolka.
  81. (and no, other elemental variations of this minion are called Vatolka; they don't have a seperate name)
  82.
  83. I haven't figured out how to change everything, like name and stats, but one day...
