  53. A pair of CIA operatives wage an epic battle against one another when they discover they are dating the same woman.
  54. In Los Angeles, Franklin Foster - FDR to his friends - and Tuck Hansen are best friends and partners as undercover CIA agents, however recently reassigned to desk jobs after a covert operation gone wrong, which resulted in the death of criminal Jonas Heinrich, and his brother Karl Heinrich being able to escape, he who vows revenge on the two. Being undercover, not even their closest friends and family know what FDR and Tuck do, those people believing the covers of them being a cruise ship captain and travel agent respectively. The two are different when it comes to their love life. FDR is a serial womanizer and party boy. Tuck is a recently divorced father, who still wants the traditional family life with his ex-wife Katie and their young adolescent son Joe, that life which does not seem like it will happen. Each of their love lives take a turn when they meet through different channels Lauren Scott, an executive at a consumer product testing company. Lauren, relatively new to Los Angeles, is just reentering the dating scene after her last relationship went sour. FDR and Tuck eventually learn that they are both dating Lauren, who each believes could be the true love of their respective life. As neither will forgo Lauren for the other, they set some ground rules in their relationships with her, including not telling her that they know each other or that they know she is dating "someone else", that they will not sleep with her, and that they will not let her get in the way of their friendship and partnership. But as their feelings for Lauren grows, their rules may go out the window, with each doing whatever needed to win Lauren, even at the expense of their friendship. Conversely, Lauren loves both men, and receives dating advice from her best friend, married, over-sexed and straight talking Trish. Through it all, Heinrich could reenter the picture, he who could change the face of what's happening in their personal lives.
  55. Well there&#39;s an hour or two Ill never get back...<br/><br/>What is there to like in this film ?<br/><br/>Plot ? Ridiculous &quot;romantic&quot; comedy, with a really weak bad guy subplot only added to give the film a way of ending.<br/><br/>Characters are all unlikeable and spent most of the film thinking Reese&#39;s character was a complete slapper and they should be fighting to get away from her, not be with her.<br/><br/>I really don&#39;t see the purpose of the film, it wasn&#39;t a feel good rom com, wasn&#39;t a thriller or exciting enough for an action film, wasn&#39;t funny in anyway. <br/><br/>Avoid...
  56. I cannot believe that I was actually looking forward to seeing this film, the trailer was so misleading. I could tell within the first five minutes that I was gonna dislike it when to two male leads (played by Tom Hardy &amp; Chris Pine) wound up on a convert mission in Hong Kong and remnants from that botched affair turns out to be something that would drag on throughout the course of the film. All of this made worse with the introduction of Reese Witherspoon&#39;s spunky yet unlucky in love character (yeah that&#39;s believable that such an attractive woman would suffer for a date) and her sidekick, a potty-mouthed BFF play by TV personality Chelsea Handler --their saga makes up the remainder of the film. <br/><br/>Am I in shock that this was a flop at the box office, no. Hardy &amp; Pine were fine (no pun intended) but when you are using dated material that has been done in the past and done even better by far less talented actresses maybe you should think about casting...I dunno someone who has not won an Academy award for instance? Okay, okay before I get into that let me give Witherspoon some credit for holding her own opposite Handler who is supposed to be a comedian but is not funny at all. In scenes where Handler&#39;s character was telling jokes, Witherspoon came across as the authentically funny one. Back to the issue of casting....de-glam versions of Blake Lively, Amanda Seyfried or even Lauren London would have been perfect for this role. Cameron Diaz would have said no to this script even Kirsten Dunst would have also said no. Who am I kidding? Even Emma Stone would have passed on the script. After seeing Witherspoon in &#39;How do you know?&#39; &#39;Just like Heaven&#39; and now this, the routine quite frankly has gotten tired. An Oscar-winner should never dabble in such fluff.<br/><br/>Poor Angela Bassett was wasted in a stereotypical supporting role.
  57. A dating fantasy for girls and an action bromance for guys, This Means War wins the Valentine date crowd in swoops and strokes, but does it lead to swoons? Not really.
  58. This Means War is based on a screenplay co-written by Timothy Dowling, Marcus Gautesen, and Simon Kinberg (who also co-produced). &quot;Good Love&quot; by Kram. The song was Woman by the Australian rock band Wolfmother. It has become a common phenomenon that Director&#39;s Cuts are only released on Blu-ray disc, which also is the case here. Since May 22th, 2012, it has been available for purchase in US shops. A direct comparison of the two versions identifies the Director&#39;s Cut as a bluff package. The only &quot;sexual&quot; content is a harmless intro in a James Bond style. The most of the additional running time consists of the &#39;fake family scene&#39;, in which Tuck Henson pays a few actors to play his family in order to impress Lauren. In order to get the more lucrative PG-13 for its theatrical release, some &quot;sleazy&quot; scenes needed to be removed. The PG-13 version is also the version that has been released on DVD in several countries. a5c7b9f00b
