During your time on this server, have you ever received any bans, mutes or warns?
I haven't received any bans, mutes, or warns. I'm not one to cause trouble with staff a lot.
What experience do you have relating to the position?
Well, I am now able to communicate and help calm down some situations, I have already been Mod, but I needed to work on my communication skills which I have improved. I will also use my best judgement when handing out punishments. I can also easily go from having no knowledge of fixing/using plugin commands and basic coding, to being able to fix most stuff, and help with some coding and more complicated tasks (which will take time) I also did run a server back in 2013 called McEnchantCraft (it soon failed a year after, due to staff dissolving and quitting, it wasn't a big server.) I was also a Moderator on the server AerionRaids for a couple of months, I can provide a referral if needed.
Why do you think you are capable of holding a staff position on this server over anybody else?
I think I'm capable of holding a staff position over everyone else because I can easily adapt to changing situations, I can do basic dev commands, I also will put in the time to help with server builds, and I can be a Moderator and dish out fair punishments, help players and be active on the server to keep it clean. I'm on the server more than some staff, which is usually late night, I can be up monitoring chat throughout the day after school. I'm usually on most of the day chilling out, and I see some stuff that passes when no staff are on, which bothers me a lot. I can be a very active, great addition to the staff team that can monitor the server most of the day. I have also learned what it is to be a fair, active, staff member in a server. I'm very well known throughout the player base of the server, and I can be trusted by most, despite being staff, I can be a very good player that can blend in with the community. I'm also very motivated to help out players in the server, help out with stuff that relates to the server also , and fix broken relationships with players to become a very nice person overall. I also know what most hacked clients have, and what it looks like when players are hacking and exploiting, I will use my best judgement to punish those players also.
Why do I want to become staff on this server?
The reason I want to become staff on this server is that I love helping out people, especially the owners knowing how much they have on their plate sometimes. I usually help out the owners by beta testing some stuff that is gonna be soon added. I think when someone is hacking, cursing or being abusive, that players should have someone to rely on to stop what the toxic players are doing, such as staff. I can be a very active player that can oversee most things, and help out when needed. I usually help out new players, but I want to help them beyond giving them money, I want to be active with them, communicating, and fixing any problems they have and report those problems to the owners. I'm willing to put in time to help the owners, and server get to where it needs to be by helping out, and keeping new players in-game, and donating. Being an active player on the server means I will usually see some things that go unseen by most staff when they are offline, and it really urks me that I can't do anything about it. I want to keep this server fun and clean place for everybody on the server.
A player has joined the server, and is constantly posting another server’s IP in chat, what would you do here and why?
If the player is posting another server IP, I will give them an IP ban that seems to fit how annoying they were about advertising and disrupting our server, then I would clear chat. It's really disrespectful to go into another persons server and advertise your server and steal players. (If a players IP is being posted in the chat, accidentally wrote this, twas' written at 1 Am) The first thing I will do is give that player a 24 hour mute, and warn him. If he keeps on continuing I will perm mute and immediately screenshot and report this incident to the owners and wait for them to take action, as I take internet doxxing very seriously and see it as a threat to a players life, as doxxing can have serious consequences, such as swatting, giving away very personal info, and DDosing.
Upon logging in to the server you get a message from a player saying that there is a hacker in PVP, you TP and don’t see the player using any hacks, what would you do here and why?
I will start recording the assumed hacker for proof of hacking and a justified ban and wait for him to make any suspicious movements, or any strange, out of place things that clients usually show when being used. If the report is true I would ask for a SS, but if it is obvious that this player is hacking I would punish this player with a 30 minute jail time, if he keeps on continuing I will ban for a day, then 7 days, eventually to a permanent ban.
A top donator has found a major duplication bug, he messages you and tells you that he has used it for a few days, but now wants to report it, what would you do here and why?
I would first ask to see the duplication glitch and record it so that it can be shown to the owners/devs to see what is done to do the glitch and how to fix it, I would then find and take away the duped items, destroy them, then I would give him a jail time the will fit to the amount of items duped and sold.
Your best friend has deliberately griefed all the servers builds, what would you do here and why?
If he did grief server builds I would try to repair most of the damage using WorldEdit. I would ask how he did it, then temp-ban him for griefing, I would report this incident to the owners and tell them how it was done so that it can be fixed. Just because he is your friend, doesn't mean you should spare him from your job that you are volunteering for, and are required to do.
