  1. In answer to the question about our onboarding selection process:
  2.
  3. Since we could not afford to bring on new node operators and troubleshoot their issues as well as develop on the various critical milestones for the Constellation Network, the selection was done by a Technical Governance vote based on criteria that would ensure that the devs could continue their work while safeguarding the stability of the network.
  4.
  5. Technical Governance decided the most acceptable risk factor for the first few batches would be groups of 5 based on criteria that measured their technical readiness, technical independence as well as their willingness and ability to help other operators. It wasn’t a popularity contest but more a metric that was evaluated on three criteria that helps everyone overall and ensures we have the people that can help the next batch of nodes onboard as required.
  6.
  7. As you've surely noticed, each batch is onboarded with less gap time in between which means that not only is our process working as we hoped it would but we'll be able to finish the process of onboarding the rest of batch 1 very shortly. We're looking forward to concluding the batch1 onboarding as each additional node helps network infrastructure so rest assured that we are doing this as fast as we possibly can while always keeping the integrity of the Constellation Network above everything else.
  8.
  9. In terms of timelines, my update next week should have more info on that as we'll have a chance to see how Mainnet responds to the new nodes.
