- Bio:
- Sylvienne is the daughter of a retainer of the Vuckerbecke family, and this position allowed her to study magic in her youth at the family's library. This, in turn, put her in unusual proximity to the young lord in exile (though, of course, neither of them knew the full nature of his origins at the time.) They became fast friends - and some might suggest more - in part due to Cedric's isolation, as Sylvienne was rather less restricted in her comings and goings.
- Eventually, though, time and the differing demands of their positions opened up a space between them, especially as Sylvienne's study became training for battle and Cedric came into the responsibilities and expectations of a noble. When the van der Bergs appeared bearing their news and the implicit question accompanying it, it was an easy decision for her; of course she would support the royalists in their reclaimation of the throne unjustly stolen from them.
