```Pride Information```
Igazi is a Xhosa word meaning ‘Blood’. It was chosen by the former Queen Umtya to not only strike fear into the hearts of their enemies, but to unite all Lions within as family regardless of their heritage. Igazi means blood, blood of the fallen and blood of the united, and it’s something that their current King, Umculo, seeks to uphold.

The Igazi Pride is small, only between 8-12 at any given time of the year, but was larger (30+) in the past. The majority of these Lions were lost several years prior during a flash-fire caused by a lightning strike, something that proved devastating largely in part to the inexperience of the Healers and the lack of intervention by Reserve Wardens who were unaware of the strike. Due to a shrinking of their hunting grounds, contesting by other larger and stronger Prides, and inexperienced Healers, the Igazi has begun to dwindle. Their young King, also known colloquially as the _insulting_ ‘Cub King’, has done his best to tend to his Pride in the loss of both King Ilitye and Queen Umtya and is rather liked by his remaining Pride Members, regardless of the struggles they’ve gone through together.

__King__
- The King is the most dominant male within the Pride. The Igazi King has the highest authority and demands the utmost respect. The Queen is their mate, but they may also choose to mate with any adult female they wish within their Pride, though the only Heirs will be Cubs born from both the King and the Queen. It is the King’s Duty to dictate Law, Rank, and to decide which opposing Prides are Friend or Foe.

__Queen__
- The Queen is the most dominant Female within the Pride. The Igazi Queen has the most say over the comings and goings of which Lions are allowed to stay within the Pride, and which Lions are forced out. She also has the final authority on where the Hunting Grounds will be and to enforce the King’s Law amongst the Pride.

__Prince/Princess__
- The Prince or Princess are the son or daughter of the King and Queen and will inherit the Leadership of the Pride if something were to happen to both of the current Rulers. They are raised by the Queen to understand the History and Tradition of the Pride so they may uphold it during their reign.

__Soothsayer__
- The Soothsayer acts as a kind of Advisor and Spiritual Consultant to the King and Queen, warning them of the upcoming Weather changes, or the shift in the tides of Luck or Fate. It is considered a ‘Mystic’ position, and only Lions who have been born into the Role from the previous Soothsayer may take up the mantle. They are in charge of keeping the History of the Pride, of the Spiritual Directing of the future choices of the Pride, as well as any kinds of fertility rituals or spiritual healing rituals that may be required of them. They are revered within the Pride for their attunement with the Spirit Realm.

__Healer__
- The Healer role is for those who understand how to tend to Wounds and Sickness with the use of herbs and medical knowledge. They are knowledgeable enough to help expecting Mothers with their birth and have a high enough command to Quarantine Lions off and away from the Pride if they so need to. Female Healers are not allowed to bare Cubs of their own until they have finished training an Apprentice, so usually between 5-6 years of Age.

__Hunter__
- The Igazi, due to their size, do not only require Females to be Hunters but to require the subordinate Males to assist where they can. Their primary prey are Ungulates such as Gazelle or Dik Dik and rarely, if ever, do the Igazi take down larger or more dangerous prey due to the limited size of their hunting party. The Igazi have also learned how to fish proficiently, a skill they treat with the utmost honor.
