  1. Overview
  2. The Director of Corporate Systems is responsible for the strategic design, implementation, management, support and maintenance of Corporate Systems for Kirkland's Inc. The Director is accountable for ensuring these applications deliver business value and align with overall corporate strategy and objectives. The Director will maintain relationships and work primarily in conjunction with Finance, HR, Real Estate, and Legal business leaders. In addition this position will oversee enterprise reporting and the company’s business intelligence platforms.

  7. Develops and maintains relationships with key business leaders
  8. Develops and maintains IT roadmaps in conjunctions with key business leaders
  9. Facilitates the gathering of operational and strategic systems requirements
  10. Ensures benefit delivery of the assigned portfolio of systems

  15. Prepares and manages capital, expense, and project budgets
  16. Participates in and delivers cost/benefit analysis as required
  17. Approves invoices and contracts within designated financial authorities

  22. Insures compliance with existing financial, security, and IT policies and procedures
  23. Recognizes and leads policy change efforts where existing policies or procedures hamper the efficient and effective delivery of business value
  24. Ensures the integrity of systems data within a portfolio of applications and services

  29. Will participate in and may lead elements of IT Strategy and Technical Architecture

  34. Establishes and manages measurable goals and performs continual measurement, coaching and counseling to team members
  35. Manages resources as required to support both strategic and business unit plans.
  36. Fulfills departmental requirements in terms of providing work coverage and administrative notification during periods of personnel illness, vacation or education.
  37. Trains, supervises, assigns projects to, apprises and is responsible for hiring of staff to maintain optimum performance of job duties
  38. Maintains current technical expertise in the rapidly changing technology assigned applications.

  43. Oversees the design, modification, configuration and implementation of critical enterprise applications
  44. Plans and coordinates the evaluation, selection, and implementation of software according to department standards and procedures

  47. Application Operations

  49. Establishes and measures application performance service levels
  50. Manages the restoration of service and data in the event of systems/application failures.
  51. Tracks and initiates resolutions to user problems and concerns
  52. Communicates critical issues that may affect clients and completes status and statistical reports in assigned area as required.
  53. Qualifications
  54. College degree or graduate degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field required; or corresponding experience in Information Services, MBA a plus
  55. 8+ years of management experience including budgets and staff leadership
  56. Experience in planning, controlling, and delivering projects
  57. Must be able to understand, and clearly relate to other members of the organization, technical manuals, software specifications, hardware principals of operations
  58. Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods of time.
  59. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
