The Trickster

[A bored Trickster discovers a powerful spell that turns temporarily people into the form of the costumes they wear the Trickster realizes that there is an upcoming costume party this year’s theme monsters all of this hosted by the human local lord, a smile widens on its face as it thought of the chaos it could make! with a sneer, he gathered the ingredients for the spell and once he is done he ventures to the castle owned by the lord infiltrating his room he placed the Lord under a hypnotic spell and with a command got the list of nobles he invited 15 Lord and Nobles from all over the kingdom he even invited a few Elf diplomates bringing The number to 25 he amazing he thought! the Trickster knocked him out and took his form going to the basement he ordered the servants to leave and not to return until commanded once alone he took his original form with a cackle of laughter he began to prepare the spell so on the night of the party he could easily activate it with a word of power with it done changing back into the Lords form, he left giving one last order for his servants to not enter the basement period going back to his room he prepared a potion that will be poured into the drinks and food of his guests and once drunk will settle in the body and when the spell is activated with lock on to the people, it will change them into the monsters they pretended to be...]

[After a few weeks of waiting for the guests finally begin to trickle in the Tricksters excitement increases but it has to be wary to many of the guests are powerful mages in their own right and it would ruin the fun if they discover it’s secret too soon so it tries it’s best to limit the amount of time spent chatting with them but thankfully with the last of the guests arrived and the day coming soon, it won’t have to worry soon…]
[On the night of the party the guests have dressed up in their costumes the Servants began to serve them food and drink unknowing of the concoction in their drinks watching above them on the balcony the Trickster noticed two of the guests hadn’t worn their costumes, strange it thought it was then recognized them the two famous monster hunters Constantine and Francis it seemed the duo didn’t want to dress up as the monster they hunt no matter they will be slain with the rest of the Servants after speaking with one of the Noblewoman the tickers sneaks off and entered the basement there the spell sits inactive he licked his lips and looked at the clock only ten more minutes left and the fun will begin it looked at the bound Nobleman his eyes open in fear next to him stood his wife her eyes pearl white in her hands a knife she stood guard above him, it was a delight mind-controlling her and with her help, they set up a barrier around the castle they don’t want the monsters to escape not yet anyways once they turn into monsters they will then be mind-controlled into serving him and with his mini army of monsters well for 12 hours anyways, but the villagers are still going to have a bad time once they turn off the barrier…]
[Upstairs the guest continue to mingle with one another each complimenting the costumes they wore the two monster hunters make jokes at some of the costumes saying if only they had spoken to them earlier they could’ve given them pointers on the monsters looks, as the clock struck 12 at night they guests looked at the baloney to hear the nobleman’s speech but instead they found it empty confused the guests ask the servants on where their Lord and Lady were but they only got confused shrugs as well the guests soon debate on whether or not this was an elaborate prank or whether they should begin looking for them...]
[In the basement the Trickster as he conducts the ritual ordered his servant woman to kick the nobleman out and the untie him once done rejoin him inside the basement he knew by the time he went upstairs and warn the guests it would be too late plus why would they believe him they probably think he’s drunk he smirked. After completing her task she went to his side and bowed he knew it would be a matter of time before the Elves upstairs sense the amount of magic going into this spell but what are they going to do?]
[Upstairs the Elves became quiet they seemed uneased by something the rest of the guests become worried it was then revealed they sensing potent dark magic coming from below them, this made the all the guest's blood run cold for an Elves sense to magic was a lot keener than a normal human especially Elves that trained in the mystic arts.  They decided to split up the monster Hunters and the Elves who are powerful enough in mage craft some were going to investigate while the rest will escort the rest of the human nobles and servants away, but to add more confusion to the group they see the noble running to them warring them to flee but before he could continue the Castle begins to shake.]
[The Tricksters chants grow in intensity its eyes turned into a shade of purple, the circle crackled with power the air filled with electricity, arcane runes materialized and began to float above them and with a thunderous crash the circle rose above them through the ceiling! The Trickster collapsed the strain of the spell too much for even it! The Trickster gasped for breath, sweat poured from its face and dripped onto the ground he looked at his bowing servant and commanded her to stand and fetch the red box from the shelf she did as she was commanded to do and brought it to him inside were 3 vials of mana after drinking it he was back to full power with his strength back he activated the barrier spell around the castle trapping them inside… Wanting to know how the spell was affecting his guests the Trickster closed its eyes once more and astral projected his spirit above into the ballroom his spirit floated above them he watched with amusement as the guests began to convulse as the energy traveled through them, transforming their mind, body, and souls into monsters all except for the servants, the monster hunters, and the host nobleman he laughs in glee as the darker natures of the monsters corrupted them poising their minds some pleaded they begged to be saved with their mind and body in utter agony as they felt the hunger the monsters felt began to take over… the elves the arrogant elves thought their magic could save them he laughed at their foolish display their green aura turning pitch black..]
[In a span of a few moments it was done the transformations were complete the various nobles were no longer human/elf/hybrid they had become what they dressed up as the remaining humans backed away in fear, the monster hunters grabbed the weaponry from the walls to defend themselves the newly created monster stood silent for a few seconds before all hell broke loose the monsters attacking the humans killing many, the monster hunters tried to no avail tried to remind them of their former selves but it was too late they had fully changed their former selves were no more…]
