Pynchon and Joyce are gods in Charles' world, DFW and Jordan Peterson are minor ones.

Plotlines:
- Charlie's destiny/the Prophecy
- Charlie and his relationship with butterfly/uncle Alfred, Charles' homosexuality
- Buck Mulligan's role in Charles' life
- Charlie's quest to cleanse the universe's room
- Finding/returning/discovering the secret of the magic VHS tape

Characters:
- Uncle Alfred/Jeffrey/Ben/?, Charles' adopted vaguely war veteran uncle whom he had sex with, unless he just imagined it.
- Benjamin Franklin, unconsciously summoned by Charles, a freeloading drunkard, wants to do some good today
- Charles' father Wilbert, supposedly actually his transgender mother.
- Charles' grandfather
- Brad, Charles' older brother whom he had sex with, first as a child and then in the story. He died and turned into a monster
- Big Bird Brad, the monstrous abomination Brad got turned into
- Benedict, Charles' oldest brother, a nuclear toxic hulking abomination, declared war on Charles
- Butterfly, Charles' to-be manwife & supposed alien
- Buck "The Fuck" Mulligan, the wild card character, was/is part of an Agency devoted to hunting down homosexuals, likes Sunny D
- Mitsushiko Hashimato, an anime girl come to life, Charles' romantic interest and symbolically his soul. She has the body of a woman with pink feathered wings and insect eyes, the rest is up for interpreting
- Thomas Pynchon, the ol trickster god popping in to teach Charlie "lessons", said he is Charles' ghost of Christmas past present and future
- Jordan Peterson

- Abhaicín Gilhooley is a true Irishman and nationalist who despises Joyce and wishes to see him slain. His name twists the tongues of Saxons.
- Jacq Bonaparte is a very distant relation of Napoleon the Great. He is good friend of Abhaicín's and hunts Joyce for no particular reason. He rarely pronounces 'th' correctly.
- Tanny the Teutonic Tranny is an accidentally named feral aids-riddled German tranny (trans man) and degenerative pet of Jacq. Joyce fucked it and caught its aids.
- Luan the Drinkgiver, the owner of the pub known as Dún Luain
- The Dagda, the most prominent god of the Irish pantheon. He informs Abhaicín that he is part of a wayward story and cures Joyce and Tanny of Aids.

- the magical, ambiguous, infinitely jestful VHS tape Charles was supposed to return; on the surface a fan edit version of Star Wars Episode III, it holds the secret to who knows what.
