» | background: Eunjeong was raised by her mother to have a closed mind-set; boys and girls should dress traditionally, that relationships should only be between a male and a female, and that other races aren't bad, but should be avoided. Eunjeong's father, on the other hand, completely disagreed with this view of life, and secretly taught Eunjeong to embrace who she was, and not judge others for things they can't change; their gender identity, sexuality, race or religion. However, as her mother was a teacher, Eunjeong listened more to her mother, but not quite as much as she was expected to. Eunjeong's mother wanted her to be the 'perfect daughter'; to wear dresses, like boys, have long hair and to be either a teacher or house-wife.
When she was about 9 years old, her mind-set changed for good. A half African, half Korean - American born girl moved into her class, and to the dismay of Eunjeong's mother, the two became close friends. Eunjeong's new friend, Danny/Dahee, taught her about America, and about how Western beliefs are generally a lot more open to difference. Eunjeong liked the sound of a more relaxed and open society, and began to break away from her mother's mould. She began to spend time on American social media, and began learning about all types of things. She got her hair cut, and began to accept herself more. Dahee explained to her the meanings of LGBT+, explaining that Dahee herself identified as bisexual, and also had a transgender brother.
Eunjeong stepped out of her cold shell, and began to accept her loud-mouth personality, taking pride in her looks and her talents. She decided that she felt comfortable identifying as gender-fluid, and wasn't bothered about which pronouns people use, although she uses she/her pronouns herself.
When she was 13, her and Dahee started a youtube channel, where Dahee composed and played the piano, and Eunjeong sang. Her mother was horrified by this, and refused to support her. The beginning of her singing career began when she was scouted by SM Entertainment, in 2008. She trained there for six years, and was briefly part of the SMRookies. She eventually dropped out in 2014 after she was promised to debut since 2010. Her father was very supportive, and with his and Dahee's help combined, she auditioned for FM Entertainment, and was accepted. She has trained there ever since.

» | personality: Eunjeong is rolling her eyes pretty much 24/7. She's like "The Bitch", but a lot more vocal about what she thinks. Due to her position as face of the group and main vocal, she's very proud of her looks, and tends to show off her vocal skill whenever she can. She often pushes herself to the front, but it's more of a joke than being selfish. She often boasts, shows off her ego, and "lovingly" insults the other members, unless it's a member with low self-esteem, or if it could be offensive. She secretly prides herself on her knowledge about other cultures, and often makes a big effort to make sure she doesn't offend anyone. She cares greatly for all her members and fans, and would be distraught if she thought she'd upset them. She works extremely hard for her goals, and is normally a good motivator, when it comes down to stressful situations.She also gets quite passionate and angry about topics, such as her style and rumours about her sexuality. She believes strongly that your appearance doesn't indicate your sexuality, and is openly supportive of pretty much everything that's considered "taboo" in South Korean culture. This doesn't stop her arguing for acceptance.

However, this careful, hugely compassionate side is often unseen, and is over-shadowed by her loud sarcastic remarks, judgemental stares and her inability to express meaningful opinions. She's very talkative and outgoing, and always has something to say. She can come across as rude, and vain, but that's usually not her intention. She can be a bit of a grease-ball at times, but only initiates skinship if it's asked for, and has a habit of shying away from skinship of others. She could be described as a diva, as she always knows what the latest trends are, before it's even a trend. She also gives brutally honest criticism to anyone who asks for advice, and will not apologise for it. When she was with the SM Rookies, she was one of the elder girls, and was known to the younger ones as the "brutal older sister", because even though she was very loving and protective towards the youngest, she was also brutally honest and sarcastic.
