Former getaway driver Charles Bronson jeopardizes his Witness Protection Plan identity in order to help his girlfriend get to Los Angeles. The feds and Charles' former gang chase them on the road.
HIT AND RUN is a comedy about a young couple ('Kristen Bell' and 'Dax Shepard') that risks it all when they leave their small town life and embark on a road trip that may lead them towards the opportunity of a lifetime. Their fast-paced road trip grows awkwardly complicated and hilarious when they are chased by a friend from the past ('Bradley Cooper'), a federal marshal ('Tom Arnold') and a band of misfits.
OK,i really had high hopes for this one. the trailer made it look so great. and hey, Bradley Cooper is in it, it has to be funny right? the first forty minutes of this movie were SO bad. really bad. nothing funny intertwined with bad acting and over use of the f word. such a weak story, that i felt there was not much to look forward to. as for the last half of the movie, i can't even tell you about because i walked out of the theatre...i wanted to get a complete refund for the twelve bucks i paid, but because i had gone to the late show, there was no staff at the ticket booth when i got out there. this movie is an example of why i would like to pay AFTER i see the show. hit and run is a total dud, i bet they wont even make their budget.
This film is about a woman who has to go to Los Angeles for an interview. She runs into all sorts of trouble along the drive by her boyfriend.<br/><br/>&quot;Hit and Run&quot; is a comedy that combines comedy, some action and lots of cars. The prevailing mood of the film is very lighthearted, and the on screen couple is convincing. I can see how Charlie really cares for Annie with his dedication to taking Annie to her job interview. The incompetent cop is funny, and Bradley Cooper&#39;s thug character is funny as well. I am impressed by how, in the middle of all the mess, the directors still manage to throw in subplots about anti-homophobia and political correctness. I am also impressed by how many gay subplots get mingled in a movie with cool car swerves. &quot;Hit and Run&quot; is a comedy that is relatively different compared with the rest.
Its high-octane but low-stakes action might be just the thing for moviegoers weary of summer's operatic superheroes.
