- He heard the door behind him lock.
- “Hey, Elizabeth, wait a second-” He turned around to face the door, absentmindedly stuffing his stethoscope into the lab coat pocket. Surprisingly, she hadn't left. She was standing right there.
- “I know we're closed, but there's no point in locking the door before we leave.”
- She was smirking at him.
- “Oh... I know.” She strode toward him, swaying her hips ever so sensually. The top 3 buttons of her dress were undone, and her stethoscope was draped around her neck.
- He swallowed. She had a look about her. Like that of a woman out to get what she wants, and ain't nobody better stand in her way. She strode up to him, nice and close. He leaned back a bit, bracing his hands on the desk behind him. Her smell was intoxicating, like a mixture of sweet soft tones and feminine musk. She looked deeply into his eyes and took his red tie in her hand, pulling him towards her as she leaned in.
- “..E-Elizabeth?”
- “Booker...” She breathed. “I need you.”
- She locked her lips with his and kissed him, deep and full of longing. Before he knew it, he was kissing her back. Arousal had overcome any rational thought he once had. One arm wrapped around her waist, the other buried deep into her hair. Her arms were around him, wrapped around his back, then running through his hair. She gripped his shoulders, feeling his muscular arms. She was a woman come undone. Eventually they parted, and she pulled back slightly.
- “Booker.. I-” She stammered, trying to catch her breath.
- “Couldn't wait for that dance, huh?” He cockily replied. Her cheeks reddened, and he couldn't help but notice the quick rise and fall of her chest. There was a hint of her bra, peeking out from the front of her dress. 'Turquoise.' He mused.
- Before he could say another word she began to take off his white lab coat. She let it fall to the floor and then moved on to his shirt. His tie was cast aside onto the floor. He watched her swiftly undo each button with dexterous fingers. As she let it fall he grabbed her wrist and kissed up her hand and down along her arm. She had goosebumps. He grabbed the front of her dress and ripped it open, revealing her lingerie. Her stethoscope clattered to the floor, but neither of them noticed or cared. The curves of her body were luscious and her skin was so pure. He could feel his manhood pressing against his pants, begging to be free. She noticed this and began to undo his belt and pulled down the front of his briefs, revealing him. She ran her hand over his erection, making it pulse and surge with blood. Booker gasped. It had been too long, far too long, since he felt the tender, loving touch of a woman. Other women just weren't the same. Nothing could compare to her.
- She let his pants, boxers and all, fall to the floor. Her hands were instantly back on him, massaging and tightening around his girth. She pulled her hand over it up and down in rhythmic strokes. He leaned against the desk and tilted his head back in pleasure, shutting his eyes, as she took him into her mouth. She continued to work his member up and down inside of her mouth, occasionally applying pressure to the base with a her hands. He panted and clutched the edges of the desk with white knuckles.
- After a time she withdrew him from her mouth and stood. Her ample bosom rose and fell with each breath and her cheeks were flushed. She undid her turquoise brassier and tossed it aside as he quickly kicked off his shoes and socks. He looked at her with hungry eyes. He grasped her ass in his hands and ran them up along her body until he found her breasts, where he cupped them in his hands. She felt his rough hands grasp her breasts and give them a good squeeze, her nipples hardening at the touch. She leaned into him breathing heavily. His fingers found her nipples and he played with them, gently at first, then slowly pinching and pulling causing Elizabeth to gasp. He pushed one hand against her heart and could feel it pounding, hitting his palm. His other hand trailed down her torso to her garter belt. His fingers found the clips and he undid them, letting her stocking slide down. He slipped his hand down into her soft tangle of bush which was as humid as a midsummer day. His fingers grazed the entrance, causing her to squirm beneath him. He buried his face into her neck and hair inhaling her scent deeply as he pressed himself against her.
- “B-Booker!” She gasped as he found her gateway and slipped his fingers inside. His other hand continued stimulating her right breast, feeling the increase in her heart rate as he moved. It made him surge with pleasure. Her arms wrapped around his back pulling him closer. She ground her hips against him, forcing his fingers in deeper and deeper, letting out the occasional moan. After a time he pulled his fingers out. She was good and wet now. A bead of sweat rolled down his face and dripped onto the floor. They were both panting. Elizabeth took off her heels, kicking them aside, and slid her pantyhose the rest of the way off. As the lust surged through his body, pulsing through his veins, he heard a familiar acoustic tune float out of the waiting room. The voice was soft and sultry, like Elizabeth's. Perhaps it even was Elizabeth.

- “Under the stars there shines one light
- That always glistens, always listens, to the whispers of the night
- When skies are black, full of despair
- I asked the sun to tell the moon that two of us are there”
- The afterglow that’s down below
- Is when I see you smile
- And in your eyes, true love assigns
- Forever is a word that cries
- That I belong to you
- That endless nights are far away
- Are gone, and you
- Could never love another
- And I love you too
- I see it up above and now I feel the truth..”
- After a brief pause their bodies then collided fiercely, lips interlocking, hands all over one another. His running through her hair, messing those perfect curls, then sliding down along the curve of her waist. Hers caressing his stubble covered jaw, to finding his chest. She pressed her palm against his quickly thrumming heart. Each beat was hard and powerful. He could barely notice the cool touch of the cold steel thimble she wore on her right pinky. Every kiss was fuelled by passion the likes of which he'd never known. It was as if they had both been waiting years, no - decades, for this night to come.
- “We overlooked as ocean deep
- But now this river that we’re swimming through is promises we keep
- The suns comes up, there is no heat
- ‘Cause what we’re feeling is revealing, all we dared
- So let it burn, it takes its turn
- One we never would allow
- There is no heart that chance will break
- Nothing else could ever stop us now..
- “For I belong to you
- That endless nights are far away
- Are gone and you
- Could never love another
- And love you too
- I see it up above, and now I feel the truth
- I belong to you”
- His manhood found her bush unguarded and he pushed himself inside of her. Her arousal had made it easy and her gasps turned to moans, but it wasn't enough to satisfy him. He disengaged, grasped her hips firmly with his hands and turned her around, bending her over the edge of the desk. For a brief moment her admired her backside, presented to him vulnerable and awaiting. As he was about to plunge himself into her, he noticed something strange. High on her back, between her shoulder blades, was a large circle shaped bruise with a small darker scar the middle of it, like that of a puncture wound. He guessed it to be roughly half healed. He reached a hand up and ran his finger gently along it, feeling the indent of the wound. She flinched at his touch.
- “Please don't-”
- “Sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you... What is- What happened to you?” He asked, concerned.
- “I-it's nothing. I don't want to talk about it.. Please.” She said pleadingly, turning around to face him, but avoiding his gaze.

- The song on the radio faded out into a simple instrumental tune and they found themselves standing together in the silence. She was looking down at the floor her face drawn in a frown. She seemed to be thinking of something she'd much rather have forgotten. He gently took her hand in his and guided her to the floor. They laid down together and he let her be for a time. She lay beside him on her back, eye's closed, deep in thought.
- Eventually his hands found the cast away stethoscope, and curiously, he picked it up. Smirking, he put the stethoscope on and then straddled her. Her eyes shot open in surprise. He pressed the bell of the stethoscope to her chest, right over her heart.
- “What are yo-”
- “Shhh...” With his free hand he put a finger to her lips and then pulled it down, gently brushing it over her chin and down her neck. He ran it down her chest and over her left breast, pausing to grope it and play with her nipple between his fingers. He could hear her heart speed up. She blushed as he leaned in and began to kiss her neck, his hand still on her breast, and the other still pressing the bell to her skin. His kisses moved down her neck to her chest and he began to kiss her breasts. He ran his tongue over her nipple and felt its hardness. She could feel his member stiffen against her. He took her nipple into his mouth and began to suck on it, causing her to gasp. She squirmed underneath him, panting. Her hand found her bush, hot and wet, and she slipped a few fingers inside, and she began to pleasure herself. Booker threw the stethoscope off and took her hand from herself, kissing her. He then repositioned himself on top of her and pushed himself inside of her. As he entered her she gasped. Her gasps turned to moans as he pushed himself in and out of her, feeling her body squeeze his member with ecstasy. She wrapped her legs and arms around him, allowing him to get as deep as possible. He pumped inside of her until he felt her come to a climax, at which point he could hold back no longer. They came together. She felt his seed fill her as her contractions squeezed him for more. Once he regained his breath and strength, Booker lifted himself gingerly off of her and collapsed onto the floor. They lay uncoupled for a time, both damp with sweat. He then leaned up and looked at her soft feminine form. Pale, with few imperfections. He watched the rise and fall of her chest, and the flutter of her thick dark eyelashes that framed her eyes as she blinked, looking back at him. Her hair was a complete mess about her head, no longer in their neat big curls. Something about the her was so familiar, so welcoming. Like he finally felt home. He couldn't help himself. He had to tell her.
- “Elizabeth... I love you.”
- “I love you too.” She smiled, looking into his eyes. '...Father.'
- The idea to go back to his apartment had been hers, of course. They lay, legs entwined, on his bed. Her body was half on top of him, her head resting on his chest. He stroked her thick brown hair with his left hand, occasionally running his fingers through it. Her right hand lay across his abdomen, and he felt the thimble brush against his side.
- “Mmmm.. I love the sound...” She stirred, moaning lightly and trailing off.
- “...Of?” Booker enquired, kissing the top of her head.
- “Your heartbeat. It's so strong... So constant.” She nuzzled her head against his chest, as if to get closer to the sound. He put his right hand under her's, gently lifted it up, and ran his index finger over the thimble.
- “You never told me how you lost your pinky...”
- She lifted her head and looked at him. All of her hairs styling had come undone. It framed her face and head with soft wavy strands, messy and natural. He loved this look about her the most, and felt himself stiffen under the sheets, even after all the fun they'd had that evening.
- “It.. It was an accident, I suppose. It happened when I was a baby. I don't remember...” She trailed off, looking down at it. She tried to pull her hand away, and cover it in her fist, but he wouldn't let her. He held on, firm but gentle, and covered her hand with his and gave it a light squeeze.
- “It doesn't bother me. You know that... Why does it bother you so much?”
- “It's a hideous... deformity... ” She managed with disgust. 'It's my curse. My burden.' She thought.
- “You know it's not. It's what makes you you.”
- 'More than you know, Booker... ' She thought with a sigh, looking down at their hands. Despite that a smile bloomed on her face.
- “And I wouldn't have you any other way.” He smiled, lifting her hand to his face and kissed it.

- He arrived at the clinic on time, at least by his standards. He had a smile on his face, and was actually happy to be going to work for once. All because of her. They had fallen asleep in his bed last night, but she was gone when he awoke. She'd left no note, but he assumed she'd left early so she could head back to her own apartment to change and get ready for work. She seemed the type of gal to do something like that. Pretty dedicated to her job and appearances. However, when he turned the knob of the door it wouldn't budge. Surprised, he fished his own set of keys out of his pocket. This wasn't like her. She always arrived just shortly before him and prepped the clinic for the start of another busy day. He remembered how rocky the start of their business partnership went, and how upset she was the first time he was late. She had waited for him for over nearly an hour before accosting him at his apartment. Sighing heavily, Booker unlocked the door, stepped inside, and flicked on the lights. 'Maybe she was here already... Left me a note or something.' He though as he began to search her receptionist's desk. Nothing. All it had was yesterdays files and notes about appointments. He cursed under his breath and made his way to his office. She'd never told him where it was in Rapture that she lived, but somehow he just knew she wouldn't be there, where ever there was. He pushed open the slightly ajar door to reveal it was still in the same state they'd left it late last night. His lab coat lay crumpled on the floor, along with her nurses cap. Items and papers from his desk lay scattered on the floor. In their haste, they didn't even think to clean up. His heart sunk in his chest.
- “Steinman..” He clenched his teeth. He, or some of his goons, must have grabbed her early this morning when she was making her way home. 'Goddammit DeWitt, you failed her again!'
- He whirled around and quickly strode towards her desk, not noticing the small group of patients that had formed at the clinics door. He snatched up a large sheet of blank paper, scotch tape, and a black pen and quickly scrawled “CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE” with thick bold handwriting.
- In a flash he had flicked off the lights and swung open the clinic door.
- “Excuse me, Mr. DeWitt? I have an appointment for 9 o'clock. It is now 15 minutes past. How much longer will I be expected to wai-” A slight, older woman accosted him.
- Booker slapped the sign on the door, and locked it.
- “Mr. DeWitt! I will not tolerate these wait times much longer! How long until my-”
- “Jesus, can't you read? Just look at the sign!” He snapped, gesturing at the door. Expressions of shock and anger ran through the small crowd, but he pushed through them down the hall, determined to get back to his apartment, determined to find her.
- A short, dark haired man in a light grey suit and tie, with a grey fedora, stepped in front of him.
- “You can't do this! This is an.. an injustice!”
- “Well, it looks like I just did. I'm sure you'll all be able to reschedule at the drop-in clinic downstairs. Now, if you would be so kind as to move out of the way – I have personal business to attend to. ” The small man's eyes flashed, and stood his ground.
- “We all have personal business to attend to! That is why you're here - to serve us!” He shouted, gesturing to the small crowd of mostly women and children.
- “Oh, I'm sorry. I thought this was a free city. I have PERSONAL business to attend to, bub. So please, just get out of my way.” Booker pushed past him, gritting his teeth. He thought he'd had his fill of that type when he left New York. Apparently he was wrong.
- He practically ran back to his apartment and threw open the door. He dove into his closet, digging past assorted pieces of clothing, boxes and half empty liquor bottles. 'Come on.. Come on.. It's gotta be here somewhere.' As if in answer to his prayers he came upon a small, dusty shoe box. He lifted the lid and tossed it carelessly aside. Inside lay an old leather dockers clutch, worn and weather beaten. On top of it sat a Broadsider Pistol, dated back to the early 1920's. 'Well, here's hoping she still works.' He took off his trench coat and slipped on the dockers clutch, loaded and then holstered the pistol, and then pulled the coat back on. He didn't want to be seen on the streets of Rapture packing heat, even if gun's weren't a hard commodity to find here. A few magazines of spare ammo were shoved towards the right of the box, he picked them up and stuffed them into his trench coat pockets. Hopefully he'd have enough. 'Hopefully I won't have to use them at all.'
