  1. It is known to the HerMyths that the current age is the 8th Era of Mankind, and that civilisation has waxed and waned 7 times before. Each time, the civilization gained great hubris, and attempted to manipulate their own nature, resulting in the creation of Taboo, which was sealed away at great cost, and the civilization faded away.
  2.
  3. The Age of Stories: The first to discover writing, and in turn, the power of symbols and knowledge, leading to great works of magic. But they attempted to write The Book of Reality, and in so doing, created the legend of The Worlds' Ending. A hero forged the First Sword, and saved reality from folding on itself.
  4. OOParts: Grimoires of all types, magical blades.
  5. TabooHead: MandrillStab, the Challenger of the Brave.
  6.
  7. Age of Pillars: This civilization found the magic of the previous era had crystallised into powerstones, and a generation of god-kings ruled over man. However, their lusts grew with their power, and they began to hunt their subjects for sport: The legend of The Beast In Man's Skin. A hero was granted the weakest of the stones, but grew its power above all others with their kindness, and defeated each beast-king, though cities crumbled in their battles.
  8. OOParts: Heiroglyphics in odd metals, insectile automata, fine girdles
  9. TabooHead: WolfBad, the Manhunter.
  10.
  11. Age of Gems: A revival of magic came in this area, and contact was first made with the Fey Realms. But again, the magic was corrupting, and the sorcerors began to form the Legends that Man had dreamed, of past times and their own legend of That Which Man Should Not Know, into their servants, the Taboos. But in their hubris, these sorcerors birthed a Dragon, who burned them with the four elements, and turned itself into the first TabooSeal.
  12. OOParts: Jewelery, fried food equipment, Masks made of crystal.
  13. TabooHead: FoolsgoldCurse, Trader In Lives
  14.
  15. Age of Wheels: The first technological age, where great roads crossed the world, joining the people. Men made servants, ever stronger and wiser, yet denied their servants the chance to dream. A grand war erupted, and the legend of Bloody Uprising threatened the flow of time itself, until the servants were destroyed and the victorious Knights of the Wheel turned on each other.
  16. OOParts: Unusual vehicles, badges and medals, deep pits filled with scorched tarmac.
  17. TabooHead: OrganDream, Thief of the Future
  18.
  19. Age of Gods: A mysterious age, which seems to be the origin of the Greek Pantheon. This is the least known age, but wherever these Olympian beings came from, their reign of Darkness spawned the legend of Heaven's Wrath. It seems a hero came from the sea and defeated them, wielding a magic staff.
  20. OOParts: Undersea Ruins, Bulletproof togas, shape memory alloys
  21. TabooHead: SunGhost, Guardian of Heaven
  22.
  23. Age of Eyes: In a return of magic, the spirits of past heroes and wisefolk were summoned again to explain the legends and myths, and their power. But once summoned, these spirits would not leave, and brought back many of their old evils to the world again, creating the legend of The Restless Dead. But a hero walked between life and death, united the old heroes into one vessel of justice, and in 3 days sent the spirits back, bringing peace once again.

  27. Age of New Life: This civilization did not delve into dark places, but rather suffered from some kind of plague, a lycanthropy which killed most and turned others into monsters to spread the disease further. This legend of Casting Out The Sick was not stopped by a human hero: Rather, the diseased ones gathered together to fight humanity, and came to blows, resulting in the deaht of thier king, which prevented the disease from spreading further.
