  1. 1.Turn on by plugging both power cords in
  2.
  3. 2.Use * key to move between menus, and # key to select a given item
  4.
  5. 3.Main menu has currently "manual adjust, uplift test, user ID, options, speed test" items. Options is currently nonfunctional. Speed test should only be used if the actuator drifts slowly when not in a test or if the actuator does not move in a test. Using speed test in other ways may lead to voided tests.
  6.
  7. 4.Manual adjust uses 1/2/3 and 7/8/9 as up and down keys to manually adjust the extension of the linear actuator. 1 and 7 move very quickly, 2 and 8 move slowly, and 3 and 9 move at the actual test speed (very slow). You will need around 3 to 4 inches of travel to perform most tests. Pressing # returns to the main menu.
  8.
  9. 5. If you didn't enter a three digit user ID earlier, when you run an uplift test it will ask you for one on the number pad.
  10.
  11. 6. The system will ask for a building number and a test number. Both are three digits long (example would be bldg. 003, test 004). If you enter them incorrectly a confirmation screen pops up at the end, press * to return to the main menu and re-enter the numbers.
  12.
  13. 7. The system will load to 10 lbs when you prompt it to. It will wait to continue to the main test until you press #. Record this number and the angle the device is leaning at.
  14.
  15. 8. Main test occurs. When you are done with the main test hold the * button.
  16.
  17. 9. Screen will show load at failure. Please record this as a means of backup in case data becomes corrupted. Press # to go to the manual adjust menu, where you should lower if performing another test or raise all the way if you are packing up.
  18.
  19. 10. Test files will be saved to the built in memory card and can be retrieved later.
  20.
  21.
  22. If the linear actuator moves even when in a normal menu and no buttons are pressed, go in the menu to “speed test”. Then press 0 to select the neutral speed value and press 1 or 7 until it stops moving.
  23.
  24. If the linear actuator does not move during a test, go to the ‘speed test’ menu, press 8, then press 1 or 7 to increase the value and then use the manual adjust feature (pressing 3 or 9) to make sure it works.
