  67. Participation Guidelines:
  68.
  69. 1. You must have a PC or Mobile phone that can run Parsec to participate: https://parsec.app/
  70.
  71. 2. Parsec requires that you have a controller.
  72. - On PC, most controllers should work. If you don't have a controller, you can use UCR to set up a virtual one: https://github.com/Snoothy/UCR
  73. - On Mac, you'll need a physical controller, as UCR won't work.
  74. - On mobile, you'll need a physical controller.
  75.
  76. 3. Your controller needs enough buttons. Stadium 2 at minimum, requires a D-Pad, L, R, Start, A, B, and 4 C-Buttons to work correctly. Most people map the C buttons to a second analogue stick.
  77.
  78. 4. Before you are permitted to participate, we'll need to run a connection test with you. This is to verify:
  79. - You have a working device.
  80. - You have a suitable controller.
  81. - You know how to correctly menu through Stadium 2.
  82. - Your internet connection is sufficient for participation.
  83.
  84. Occasional skipping or a little latency is fine, but if the parsec video feed is a slideshow or you can't maintain a solid connection, you should probably drop out of the tournament. Failure to do so at this stage will result in a temporary ban.
  85.
  86. Connection tests will be managed by staff members or other volunteers before the event. You will most likely be contacted by them in the server - it is your responsibility to work out a time with them before the event to perform a test.
  87.
  88. If you are unsure that your hardware/internet connection is sufficient to participate; reach out! We'll be more than happy to assist you.
  89.
  90. 5. While participating in the tournament, you are expected to adhere to the following:
  91.
  92. - Be here at the start of the event, and remain available until you are knocked out. Sometimes matches go long, short, or the bracket has to run differently at the last minute, so don't try to be cheeky with time.
  93.
  94. - Don't take more than 45 seconds to make a move. These events take upwards of 4 hours with optimal conditions, every second counts for everyone involved.
