  1. [17:10] Hades Task asks, "Mister 'Mani, can you help Valero with the voices in his head?"
  2. [17:10] Hades Task says, "Del put them there. And I don't know how to heal it."
  3. [17:10] Nephis says, "Yes, please. Help him. He got hurt again."
  4. [17:12] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Twenty eight is not that old. I am not even midle aged. But yes, I should be able to assist with fixing the voices and what was that."
  5. [17:12] Hades Task says, "No idea."
  6. [17:13] Valero Task asks, "...Can ya' do it without using holy magic?"
  7. [17:13] Romani cos Montclaire says, "It depends. Show me the area wherein she caused you harm."
  8. [17:14] Valero Task says, "It... Was from their fucking tears. I think."
  9. [17:14] Valero Task says, "There ain't a wound, but I can't get her fucking voice out of my mind."
  10. [17:14] Nephele Xenos asks, "Is it at least a nice voice?"
  11. [17:14] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "From her tears?"
  12. [17:14] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "Where did she cry on you?"
  13. [17:14] Valero Task says, "Any voice on repeat. Day in, and day out, isn't a fucking good voice."
  14. [17:14] Valero Task says, "And they just KEEP repeating the same fucking things over, and over, and over, and over again."
  15. [17:15] Valero Task asks, "-And all over my fucking... Arm?"
  16. [17:16] Romani deadpan stars at Valero as they explained to him that Del had cried upon their arm to dehbilitate them. The light within those gold and blue eyes dies, just a little.
  17.
  18. "Right. Raise the arm which was cried upon then, so I make better view it."
  19. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  20. [17:18] Duck asks, "Wait, isn't Del the other Stellus?"
  21. [17:18] Duck says, "The uh....priesty one."
  22. [17:18] Duck asks, "Why.....would someone good hurt someone for no reason?"
  23. [17:19] Nephele Xenos says, "To save them."
  24. [17:19] Duck says, "So many fake heroes out there.....I've got my work cut out for me to be a true one."
  25. [17:19] Duck says, "And you don't save people by hurting them without their permission."
  26. [17:19] Duck says, "Only villains do that."
  27. [17:19] "They." He takes a deep breath, before taking a few steps closer towards Romani, as he slowly rolled up his right arm, revealing... Black scales that are seemingly scattered all along his right arm.
  28.
  29. "Beat the fuck out of me, and as I lay on the ground, they started crying. Their... Tears fixed my fucking wounds, but left her VOICE, over and over, aga-"
  30.
  31. He cuts himself off to glance over at Nephele.
  32.
  33. "She didn't try to save shit."
  34.
  35. With that, he turns to face Romani once more.
  36.
  37. "Any idea what to do?"
  38. (Valero Task)
  39. [17:20] Nephele shrugs. "It was her reasoning."
  40. (Nephele Xenos)
  41. [17:21] Duck would ball his fist with a genuine display of anger. There was nothing his pure heart hated more than fakers.
  42. (Duck)
  43. [17:23] "Because Del is zealous and believes that their way is the only correct way. If people do not conform to their way, they grow violent. They attack innocents. It is why they were part of the attack on the bridge. Nysea saw Osrona as something they could not stand, but were beaten back because we really dream of peace."
  44.
  45. The Stellus would say as the arm was presented to him. With that, however? Romani's hands would move towards Valero's arm. Astral force would pull mana down from the stars, summon it forth as he began to empty Valero's mana circuits. What currently flowed through his body?
  46.
  47. It would soon be replaced by Romani's astral mana. The process of gently easing away the mana of Del that surely managed to weed it's way inside of Valero would begin as Romani took a calm breath.
  48.
  49. "She does not save people. She only pronounces those she does not like as below her and dirt. I have seen it first hand."
  50.
  51. The Eastern Stellus spoke, eyes narrowing as he worked. If holy magic could not be used, he was lucky that cosmic mana also functioned in this capacity. Like whisps of smoke, the mana was slowly coming forth anew into Valero's circuits.
  52. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  53.
  54. [17:29] Valero's one good eye remained trained on Romani, as he moved to grasp his hand. Waiting just in case the Stellus decided to use Holy Magic. Romani seemed like a lovely lad, but due to Valero's nature, he's not very trusting of exorcists.
  55.
  56. To those who know him, the answer to why that is should be rather simple.
  57.
  58. Yet, the exorcist magic would be felt. Instead, it would be a rush of celestial magic that coursed through his mana circuits, purging the taint that Del had left stowed away in his circuitry.
  59.
  60. Slowly but surely the voice began to dim, until it faded entirely. Which results in a sigh of relief escaping from the youth's lips.
  61.
  62. "Thank fuck. I owe ya' one Romani." He'd regret those words later. "Hearing..." He pauses, as he attempts to mimic Del's voice as best as he can. "Let me help you... Come to Nysea- Be cleansed, Valero, or You don't need to hurt anyone.… Over, and fucking over again."
  63.
  64. He slowly shakes his head.
  65.
  66. "It really fucks with your sanity."
  67. (Valero Task)
  68.
  69. [17:32] It did take a few minutes. Ten, or maybe it was twenty. But as time ticked away, more and more of that mana that had once belonged to Del would fade away from Valero. That voice of the false Stellus would fade to softer, and softer, and softer within his mind.
  70.
  71. Until it was as if there was a pop. Silence as that voice was no more and the last of the celestial radiance filled up Valero's circuits anew. Romani would give a nod.
  72.
  73. "If you would? Continue not to hurt those undeserving. I want people to be safe, and for the world to have peace, and I realize there are people who wish for such too. I also know that Nysea is not often such a place."
  74.
  75. "I heard they did something awful to Yersin." His eyes closing, a small hiss but not speaking on it further.
  76. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  77. [17:35] "First. I'm plenty fucking fun. Just now ain't the best time. I had a voice in my head fucking with me, and now YERSIN's..." His voice trailed off, as he took a deep breath.
  78.
  79. "I'll be my fun self in a bit."
  80.
  81. He nods, before turning to face Romani once more. "So long as people don't start shit with me, or one of my friends, I ain't planning on hurting them. So don't worry about that."
  82.
  83. He takes a deep breath, before slowly shaking his head.
  84.
  85. "Nysea's gonna fucking burn for what they did to Yersin."
  86. (Valero Task)
  87. [17:37] Nephis picked something up in the middle of her silly- self-insulting ramblings as she turned her head to the side, looking curiously at Romani.
  88.
  89. "I-.. Can actually assure you that he wont-.. Or atleast he was managing to hold back in his 'rage' of occult whenever he used it near me.", she muttered, shrugging.
  90.
  91. "Call me crazy, but I think his occultic powers actively avoided me.", she finished with a nod... before suddenly bursting into laughter.
  92.
  93. "Well, apart from the one time where I literally forced him to attack me with all he had.".
  94.
  95. "I am pretty sure he still held back.", the youth whispered to herself under her breath.
  96. (Nephis)
  97. [17:40] Between Nephis and Valero? Romani would just give a faint nod.
  98.
  99. "The magic of occultism is dangerous. But from what I have seen of holy, it can be equally dangerous. I just want good people protected. If you do find yourself using such destructive powers, I want you to use it on the people who would bring ruin to the peace we built, rather then those undeserving."
  100.
  101. "And Nephis gives you a glowing recommendation at that." Romani said simply before the loud sigh left him when speaking of Yersin. Fists balled by his side as his gaze would become downcast.
  102.
  103. "They attacked Baleford bridge. They attacked the people of Osrona. They killed Yersin. I hold no false imaginings, Nysea wishes for no peace. They do not seek to pay reperations towards what they have done to us in the past."
  104.
  105. "And it may need to be dealt with as such."
  106.
  107. A glance upwards as suddenly he noticed Makenna once more adorned in reds. "How wounded?"
  108. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  109. [17:41] Valero Task says, "-And... Thank ya' Romani."
  110. [17:41] Romani cos Montclaire says, "You are welcome. And thank you both."
  111. [17:41] Valero Task says, "They ain't gonna get away with what they did to Yersin.."
  112.
  113. [17:50] Ro says, "..."
  114. [17:50] Ro looks down to the ground.
  115. (Ro)
  116. [17:51] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Would you like to whisper it to me. And greetings Ro."
  117. [17:52] Ro says, "I thought of something, and I want to share my thoughts."
  118. [17:52] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "Sure. What would you like to share with me?"
  119. [17:53] Ro says, "Peace was never an option."
  120. [17:54] Romani cos Montclaire says, ". . ."
  121. [17:54] Ro simply stares at Romani, coldly, at that.
  122. (Ro)
  123. [17:54] Nephele Xenos says, "Striving for peace while your people are being killed seems... unusual."
  124. [17:54] Nephele Xenos says, "Nysea clearly has no real interest in peace."
  125. [17:54] Valero Task says, "Nysea needs to get burned the fuck down."
  126. [17:54] Ro says, "That's not what I am talking about."
  127. [17:54] Valero Task says, "Oh, I'm aware."
  128. [17:54] Romani would shake his head.
  129.
  130. "Peace was an option. They choose not to accept such, if you mean in reguards to the initial Nysea." Which it sounded as if it wasn't. Once more the silence assumed, waiting to hear what else Ro might say, or clarify.
  131. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  132. [17:57] "No, peace was never an option. If it was an option, we would've had it on the table from the get go," he said with his eyes focused upon Romani. "If peace was an option, then the entirety of us would be banded together, right here, right now, without question."
  133.
  134. His eyes then moved over towards the others in the group, "Even if Nysea is burned to the ground, you clearly forget about the bigger picture; the witches, the dopplegangers, and the black slime that are alien to the world. Even if you get that, there's Barsburg. Peace isn't an option."
  135.
  136. "And, frankly? I'm done."
  137. (Ro)
  138. [17:58] The Vigilant decided to make her presence known, giving a small cough.
  139.
  140. "I ain't against a military campaign against Nysea frankly, long as its practical and either supported or at least unopposed by the Coalition, yeah? But all'a these decision should be made when the election's done. Speakin' a which, vote for me, I'm the only one with a reform program, or, rather, the only one who seems to have thought about it more than 'I can't be hexed' or 'I wanna let the Royalists back in'."
  141.
  142. Little bit of light campaigning couldn't hurt, right?
  143.
  144.
  145. (Malia Arsali)
  146. [18:03] Romani would shake his head towards Ro, disagreement.
  147.
  148. "Peace is an option. When I look around the square right now? We are not killing one another. We are not harming one another. Within this square? There is peace. The people here have banded together and live harmoniously."
  149.
  150. The Stellus said, extending his arms out and smiling towards the faces there. However? After he would shake his head.
  151.
  152. "The problem with peace is, with enough people, there is always someone who wants to disrupt it, take more then their fair share. People like Alexander who abandon people, or Del, who attack people. They are prevent peace."
  153.
  154. "Even so, we must wish for peace. We must wish to stop the Witches, the dopplegangers, the black slime. We must bring peace to all, and stop these things that disrupt peace."
  155.
  156. "Because sometimes, you are right. Peace is not an option. It is a choice. And those that refuse it will find what is coming to them."
  157.
  158. An exhale.
  159.
  160. "The triumvirate will vote for if there will be a military campaign after the election. Indeed, it is not a topic for now." He said, agreeing with Malia.
  161. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  162. [18:11] "It's a choice, and those that decide against it have it coming to them," he repeated with a shake of his own head. "Eleven years, I have seen how people can become, how man plans to be, how people are so quick to turn on one another. It's disgusting and brash."
  163.
  164. His eyes pale off to the side, looking at Task, "You have holy magi and dark magi working in unison, and even though they are cuasing themselves great sickness, they are able to do that, but even then, that's not peace. That's coping with a problem that goes beyond everything."
  165.
  166. What was he getting at? Speaking this way and discourging the two from being around? He followed up once again, "Then you have the people voting for people who can either turn around and flip at the start of a dime. Have people get elected that will make only the worse."
  167.
  168. "After that, you have potential murderers growing, people that seek revenge. People that don't care about harming one another or speaking out of tone with another," he said as he gripped his fist tighter and started to shake his head. "Not good people, but people who can hit first and ask questions later."
  169.
  170. He wasn't going to name them, but he saw what he saw. People that were ready to defend demons. To work with demons. To help them grow stronger. Then, there were people who objectively consider working with them for peace. Yet, in his eyes it wasn't.
  171.
  172. Perhaps he was wrong to push the angle. Perhaps he was right, but when he followed up, anger was guiding him, "People don't want peace. Humanity isn't about peace. When there is peace, there is always a tension within one another that breaks it. It's a cycle, isn't it?"
  173.
  174. "Peace, destruction, recreation, and war. People that will hold grudges and pursue revenge. People..." He shakes his head and lower his voice slightly, but still audible,
  175.
  176. "I'm growing sick of people, Rhoynish, Beastkin alike."
  177.
  178. "All because they don't care."
  179. (Ro)
  180. [18:12] Duck would pace forward from his place at the table to listen in to the philosophic discussion between Ro and Romani, his own sense of morality sparked by the debate to a degree truth be told. While Duck was no longer innocent to the evils of the world, he was still as pure as ever, and it was hard to accept what was often necessary.
  181.
  182. Still, Romani had made sense of it during Erehn's purification. Sometimes you need to hurt people to protect others.
  183.
  184. "Peace isn't a state of being. It's a dream, a goal we have to fight for. It won't come over night, not as long as innocent people are out there still getting hurt. As long as hearts are manipulated to die for blind zeal."
  185.
  186. The watchman would nod firmly, straightening his back. For once, Duck seemed like a genuine adult.
  187.
  188. "Alexander believed he deserved the crown because it was in his blood, and that anything he said was right and moral! And the old church believed him! They'll close their eyes to any world but their own..."
  189.
  190. Duck would sigh, lowering his head.
  191.
  192. "A true king makes his choices for the good of the people, he could have stepped down and saved Marie! But he didn't and she died because of him! And the church DIDN'T CARE."
  193.
  194. Duck would appear to grow lightly heated, before his explosive temper would simmer.
  195.
  196. "...Peace is always an option, we're just gonna have to fight for it. Because that's what heroes do. Make sacrifces so others can be happy."
  197. (Duck)
  198. [18:19] Romani would stare at Ro, all the same. "People can turn on one another, that is correct. They can abandon one another in their time of need, and take things away from them that they desperately need. They can harm one another, and people often do."
  199.
  200. "But peace is a choice. Holy and occultic users willing to not attack each other, but learn from one another. People are able to select people they want to lead them. These are good advances."
  201.
  202. "I can understand there is worry about potential murderers, but alongside that, we have people who will not kill, and not seek revenge. Again, ultimately?"
  203.
  204. "Peace is a choice. There are some people who may not want it, and you can say humanity is not about it, but I will bring my best to bring peace to my people all I can. That is what I can do. I care about my people, so I want to bring the world for them."
  205.
  206. A small smile upon the Stellus' face as he explained it. nodding, he agreed with the words said by Duck. Peace was a dream, a goal, and while it may be difficult to obtain, it made it that much sweeter when people succeeded, even for a little.
  207.
  208. "Ro, I would say do not give up on dreams just because they seem difficult."
  209. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  210. [18:24] "Romani, I believe that you are the one of the last few people who do want peace, but there is also an issue within that," he said. "You ever consider the possiblity, that it is only as temporary as anything else that comes?" He questioned it, only wanting to get into a deeper understanding.
  211.
  212. "The next person after you, are you willing to bet that they want to do the same thing as you? That they won't do something rash and radical in that instant? That they won't fall down the rabbit hole that every other leader does in Eternia?"
  213.
  214. He finally lets his hand go out to Romani's shoulder, gripping it firmly, but nothing too daming or injury-included. "I just want to remind you, allof life is temporary and short. The only thing shorter is peace." Though after, he starts to trail off to Myllenoris. "Festival for all those that want to come."
  215. (Ro)
  216. [18:26] As Ro takes his leave, Malia approaches the Stellus, slowly and politely.
  217.
  218. "Hey, Stellus. Was gonna talk ta ya direct earlier, but obviously this was going on so I reckoned I should wait till it was over. As ya probably know I'm campaigning for elected on a platform of reform, and while ya may have also seen them, I'd like to discuss ya thoughts on 'em, if ya got the time."
  219.
  220. A small shrug followed, as if she wasn't particular concerned either way.
  221.
  222. She was.
  223. (Malia Arsali)
  224. [18:29] The Stellus did appear to think for a moment.
  225.
  226. "Maybe you are right, I may be the one of many who does wish for peace. But even still? A temporary peace, one which people can grow and be happy, is better then no peace at all. A goal we can strive for is better then having no goal."
  227.
  228. "People differ. They may not all share the same dream. It does not mean I should stop dreaming just because it is unique. You can not save everyone, but that does not mean you should give up on saving anyone."
  229.
  230. "Because even when you fail? It can effect things. Life is short, but like peace, does it need to be?"
  231.
  232. With that, however, Ro seemed to be leaving. A glance would be made towards Hooper, blinking at their understanding of peace.
  233.
  234. "Even so, I believe it is fine to dream alll the same."
  235.
  236. His eyes glanced then towards Malia. "I would like to discuss this, but not likely at this time. I am rather winded from training my fists earlier."
  237. (Romani cos Montclaire)
