  1. General Emulator Info:
  2. Settings tab > Input to set controls (do PRIOR to connecting)
  3. Note: Player 2, aka the connector, must bind as Player 2, NOT Player 1)
  4. Esc = closes emulator
  5. Backspace = return to previous menu
  6. Command > Menu Toggle to view menu mid-game
  7.  
  8. Nickname Configuration (optional):
  9. - Navigate to Settings
  10. - Navigate to User
  11. - Select Username

  13. Onscreen Display (optional, but your IP will be visible when you launch the game if you do not disable this):
  14. - Navigate to Settings
  15. - Navigate to Onscreen Display
  16. - Disable Onscreen Display and Onscreen Notifications in both submenus

  19. Note: MUST load appropriate core and launch rom prior to connecting every time you open the emulator.

  21. Hosting:
  22. View network settings (optional; generally should not need to be changed)
  23. - Navigate to settings tab (gear icon)
  24. - Navigate to network

  26. Enable port forwarding for TCP port 55435:
  27. - Ask us for help if needed.
  28. - If you are unable to access your router settings or are unfamiliar with port forwarding, download UPnP Wizard:
  29. - https://www.xldevelopment.net/upnpwiz.php
  30. - If for some reason you are unable to forward port 55435, you can try a different port.
  31. - The port must also be changed in the Network menu in Retroarch.
  32. - If for some reason you can't port forward by either means, your opponent should attempt to host.
  33. - If for some reason neither of you can port forward, we will give you a different game on a different platform.

  35. - Navigate to netplay tab (headset icon)
  36. - Start netplay host
  37. - File > Load Content > load ROM

  39. Joining:
  40. - Confirm core is launched
  41. - Launch ROM, navigate to menu toggle when game is running, close content
  42. - Navigate to netplay tab
  43. - Refresh room list
  44. - Connect to opponent, input "test" as password unless the host changed it for some reason
  45. - if you cannot join through the room list, connect manually using (IP):(port)
