  1. “Come on Guy, it’s been almost two years. You have to say hello.”
  2.
  3. “No way Gal. I’m staying right here. You can’t-“
  4.
  5. Guy struggled against Gal’s arm strength, feeling her pull against his arm as he holds the door knob to his shed. They both grunted as they fought one another, Gal digging her heels in while Guy used Thanatos’ chains to pull himself closer to the door, until-
  6.
  7. CRACK!
  8.
  9. Both Guy and Gal flew back, the tug of war with the door causing the hinges to break and causing both of them to land on top of one another as the door flew overhead and landing a few meters away.
  10.
  11. “Ughhh, dammit, Gal, you just had to…” Guy mumbled, shaking his head until he felt two soft things on his cheeks jiggle with him. “Goddammit,” rolling off Gal and getting out of her cleavage and sitting on the grass, as she got up, rubbing both her back and chest.
  12.
  13. “This wouldn’t have happened if you just came home willing for your birthday. Just one day, come on. I can’t keep covering for you when Uncle Apollo or Aunt Josei ask for you. ‘Oh, he’s doing a project.’ ‘He left to go grab some spare parts.’ ‘He went to go buy condoms.’”
  14.
  15. “Wait, you don’t actually-“
  16.
  17. “It was more believable than saying you were deticking a giant wolf that shoots lighting.”
  18.
  19. Guy huffed and laid back on the grass, pulling some blades off the ground, letting them drop out of his hand and float in the air, a small breeze picking up and taking them away. “I can’t.”
  20.
  21. “Because of your eye?”
  22. “Partly yes, she would freak out and ask questions and both you and I can’t handle when she goes into inquisition mode.”
  23.
  24. Both of them shuddered, remembering days back when Josei would, in half lidded eyes and a calm face with the fury of a thousand Asuras, ask them questions about why her vase was broken, who tracked mud on the floor and why was the washing machine over flowing with soap.
  25.
  26. “But, what’s the other half?”
  27.
  28. Guy only whistled, the pitter patter of feet on the grass before a large dog sat next to him, a robin nesting on his head.
  29.
  30. “Oh, right. Armos.”
  31.
  32. “How am I going to explain him?”
  33.
  34. “…Magic…?”
  35.
  36. ….
  37.
  38. ….
  39.
  40. ….
  41.
  42. “Do you have a better answer?” Gal says, standing up and tidying herself.
  43.
  44. “You also forget one more thing.”
  45.
  46. “What now?”
  47.
  48. A grumbling noise is heard behind Gal, loud to make a growling lion blush. Gal nearly jumps in air, turning around. “Oh, Norami. Are you hungry?”
  49.
  50. “Why doesn’t Poppa want to go back home?” The white child turned her head, her yellow eyes blinking as she pat her stomach. “Will Grandma and Grandpa have food there?”
  51.
  52. “Yes, cutie, they will. We just have to get Poppa to get off his butt and go there,” Gal rubbing the girl’s head.
  53.
  54. “Technically, my home is farther away, we’re talking about a summer house that we have here, but…” Guy said under his breath.
  55.
  56. “HIS HOME,” stressing those words, “Where his family is.”
  57.
  58. “…So why don’t they come here?”
  59.
  60. “Well, that’s Plan A.”
  61.
  62. “Wait, wha-“
  63.
  64. Guy was quickly covered by a large shadow, boots entering his vision. “So, we leave you here for about two years, phone calls only, no face chat at all, and you lose an eye and have a daughter, huh?”
  65.
  66. Guy quickly gets up, heels clicking behind the seven foot green haired man, red eyes staring back at his remaining one. “Heyyyy Dad, Mom, how are things-“
  67.
  68. A right hook to the chin nearly sends Guy sent to the ground, stumbling forward.
  69.
  70. “Pop-“
  71.
  72. “Just wait, Norami,” Gal holding the white girl back.
  73.
  74. “That’s for not talking to us.” The man’s left hand grabbed Guy’s shirt and pulled him close, hugging him tightly. “And this is for being mostly in one piece.”
  75.
  76. Guy groaned, lightly patting his father’s back. “Gee, thanks, dad. Think you could’ve rattled my brain a bit less?”
  77.
  78. “Well, you took a punch that almost all fighters would go down to, so I’d say you’ve definitely improved,” releasing the hug, “But you still have to deal with your mother.”
  79.
  80. Guy looked over his dad’s shoulder seeing a pale woman crouching down with bone white hair, a matching white suit and frozen blue eyes, scratching behind Armos’ ear, the robin resting on her shoulder. “So, done assaulting our son, Apollo?” the woman asked, not looking up.
  81.
  82. “Yeah, I softened him up for you. Go on, lay it on him, Josei.”
  83.
  84. “I think there is one more person that would like to ‘Talk’ to him before I do. Besides, have you felt how soft Armos is? His fur is softer than chiffon or silk. To think he was hogging this fluff to himself.”
  85.
  86. [Madam Mother, I ask that you continue scratching behind my ears.]
  87.
  88. “Yes, yes, who’s a good boy?”
  89.
  90. [I am, I am the good boy.] Armos’ tail wagged what seemed a thousand times a second, creating a gust of wind behind him.
  91.
  92. “Well, she should be here, right about…now,” Apollo said before stepping out of the way, a black streak rushing past and grabbing Guy’s waist and lifting him up.
  93.
  94. “Oh, young lad, you’re okay! I was worried! Nearly radio silence from you for nearly two years!”
  95.
  96. “K-Kit! Please put me down!” Guy struggled in the muscular woman’s grasp. Despite having nearly half a foot on her, he was still easily lifted up and held.
  97.
  98. Almost immediately, he was set down, her arms, clapping on his shoulders, taking a good look at his face. “Well, I knew you looked up to me, but I didn’t think you would copy my style,” rubbing the right side of Guy’s face.
  99.
  100. “Not like I really had a choice,” patting her head. Slowly, Kit let go of him and walked back, Josei appearing in front, her small stature causing her to look up while Guy looked down.
  101.
  102. “Still so tall. Come down here,” grabbing Guy’s shirt and pulling slightly. He bent down, getting eye level to his short mother. She grabbed the eyepatch and took it off, showing the scarred tissue that had closed the empty socket.
  103.
  104. “I see,” replacing the eyepatch. “Well, I guess between that, Armos and my…”grandchild”…I think you have some-“
  105.
  106. A loud growl was heard causing Apollo throw up his hands and look behind him while Kit tensed up, hand at the read for her pocket knife.
  107.
  108. “Eh heh, sorry.” Norami looked sheepish, blushing as she hid behind Gal.
  109.
  110. Josei looked at her watch, taking note of the time. “Well, it is lunch time. I heard there was an okay family diner in town.” She spun on her heel walked off, heels clacking on the pavement, Kit shadowing her.
  111.
  112. Apollo sighed and motioned for Guy to follow as Gal picked up Norami and followed after. “Jeez, cutie, how much do you eat?”
  113.
  114. “A lot.”
  115.
  116. Armos was left with his robin resting on his head. [Shall we hunt for worms for you, Aki?] A tweet was its response, flying up and heading to the pond and Armos pattered after it.
