Chapter 9-2: In the Shadows Created by the Light (part 2)

# Chapter 9 part 2 "In the Shadows Created by the Light (second part)"

(note: Chaos refers to the enemy, while chaos maintain its literal meaning)

Graff revealed that he stoled Chaos's power and that Sophie wasn't actually Sophie, she's just some nameless girl who saw the story about little sister who supported her brother in a country name Anozea. She who desired to be someone was granted the role of Sophie by the runes (or the world) and made it into reality. Sophie learned that and fell into despair. Graff walked away as Wol tended to the wounds. Eco and three Sophie's companions as backups finally arrived. Wol left Sophie to the backup and followed Graff with Eco guiding him.

Wol caught up to Graff. Graff told Wol that everything in this world is just an illusion, people are given false memory and hope from runes only death is the real thing. He and Wol then fought again. Graff was defeated but he rise again with fully healed body. He told Wol that no matter how many times he's defeated he'll finally win in the end since he has Chaos's power to regenerate. He was defeated by Wol multiple times after but every time he was defeated he revived and got back up again. After sometime, he thought of a new idea and taunted Wol about Sophie being a nameless girl who just lost her role in this world. He then said "She's so pitiful. Now I know. I just need to give her a new role" then disappered. Wol and Eco decided to go back to where Sophie was.

Since Wol saw that Graff also has some echos following him. Wol asked Eco about what the echos clan was planning and then learned that Eco was cut off from the clan, that she has no place to go like him. After her mission to guide them to the tower was done she cannot contact the clan and all information route got cut off. She only followed them out of her own free will. She promised to help Wol and Sophie and to guide Wol to where Graff is. Multiple groups of enemies full of Chaos power were spawned in their way but Eco still can detect the biggest presense of the energy, Graff, to guide Wol to him. Wol told Eco about the one time meeting he had with Graff and that he didn't seem like a bad guy. They agreed that Graff is probably a pawn of the echos clan, given a role to play out for Palamecia, and so did Eco. Wol told her to fight back the clan and the time is now to help him.

Once they got closer to Graff, the Chaos power was too strong for Eco to distinguished where Graff was. They played it by ear by following the strongest enemy they could find. They met Sophie's friend and learned that Sophie was taken away by Graff and was headed to the tower. Wol told Eco to stay behind and heal the three and he went back to the tower. If Graff is really just a pawn, then who is the master mind? echos clan? Wol think that it must be someone behind them someone in the shadows.

Graff took Sophie almost to the tower and left her there, Echo finally popped up and asked him what was he planning to do. Graff told Echo off, that he only did what the echos-clan asked him to. Then he went to the tower to kill the soldiers who were guided here by the runes, who are waiting to fight him, the Warrior of Desctruction.

As Echo was still looking after Sophie she didn't realized that Wol finally caught up to them.

Wol finally met Echo.

The echos clan's plan, the stronger Sophie was, the brighter she had shown before with hope. Now that she falls into darkness, into despiar, her shadows will be darker than everyone else. They decided to do something with the despaired Sophie. Sophie woke up. She then started to fight Wol. At that time shining from the tower, the light of hope, suddenly shone to Sophie's way and behind her a trail of black muddy shadow appeared. From it a spherical ball of dark energy floated up. Multiple black robe echos appeared in front of Wol made that dark ball into Sophie's body and said "This girl, the vessel which once stored the hope. Now that she's empty, she's just a great vessel for the chaos power. Right now she's nothing but a war maiden filled with chaos power. Now let's begin the story of destruction. The meaningless fight between hope and despair. Let's shake people's heart and paint Palamecia with a new story"

"People's feeling, meaningless fight, a new story. It's distorted. You're warped, as always you're warped. You're looking right? Voyce!!"

"Hu hu hu, long time no see, warrior of light."
