Portal Info

I plan on playing Portal for a while longer at this point until I get a time I am very happy with. Knowing me, this will go down until I get WR, but at the moment, I want an 11:4x. I want to solidify a 2nd place time before AGDQ, and ideally, before AGDQ submissions. I intend on submitting Portal to AGDQ 2017, and since Biiwix most likely can't go, being French and all, being 2nd would basically guarantee me that run (assuming it will get in).

I got a lot of motivation from watching runs and hanging with people at SGDQ. It reminded me why I loved speedrunning, and reminded me why I picked up this hobby in the first place. Grinding runs will be a chore at times, and I'm not going to force myself to play if I don't want to that day, and will be prone to stopping at random points if salt or boredom becomes very apparent. I don't want to run myself dry of this game until I get to where I want to be, so stuff like that will come to keep myself interested.

As I said before, I want to run Portal at AGDQ 2017. I want to be able to represent the Portal community and the Source community for the marathon, and I think the game has a high chance of getting in this time around. I believe the last time it was run was at SGDQ 2015? Not 100% certain though, and there wasn't a Portal run at SGDQ this year. I think the game has a pretty damn good chance of making it because of this, and hopefully that is the case. I'd love to get a run in and be known for something, at least a little bit more, and also help the cause and all that junk.
