  1. Review of: "In Limbo: Brexit Testimonies from EU citizens in the UK"
  2.
  3. This is possibly one of the most significant books I have read.
  4.
  5. Powerful and real experiences of people.
  6.
  7. A collection of testimonies of EU citizens who have made their homes in the UK. Many with families, British spouses and children. People who have worked and contributed as much if not more than any other citizen to our society.
  8.
  9. Teachers, doctors, nurses, engineers, scientists, our friends and family who have now been plunged into a dark and uncertain state of being "in Limbo" because the government has tried to use them as "bargaining chips" in negotiation instead of respecting and ring fencing their existing citizens rights.
  10.
  11. Their words and experiences are very moving and heartbreaking to read. Through no fault of their own, they have been cynically denied the right to vote in the 2016 EU referendum and now their lives are blighted. Threatened with the "hostile environment" of the UK Home Office. This is even more unjust since they were allowed to vote in local elections but were excluded from the 2016 referendum.
  12.
  13. They have faced erroneous threats of deportation and splitting of families because of Home Office mistakes and incompetence.
  14.
  15. There is evidence in the UK parliament's Hansard of groups of citizens being cynically excluded and disenfranchised because they were believed to be likely vote to Remain. The EU citizens in the UK and another group: UK citizens living and working in the EU.
  16.
  17. A huge injustice has been done to some 5 or 6 million people in the 2016 referendum by denying people their rightful votes.
  18.
  19. Please do read this book and share with your friends.
  20.
  21. This book has changed my life. It may well change yours.
