  1. Sylvie was born into the Terralance family (a long line of High Elf royals) as the fourth daughter of seven kids; she is fifth-in-line for the Terralance Kingdom's throne, since she has four older siblings and two younger siblings - four sisters and two brothers. She grew up in the castle with her six siblings, a laidback father, and a very strict mother, but as she grew up, she realized that she cared less about the throne and more about exploring the world around them.

  4. As she grew, she also became accustomed to always being honest despite always being manipulated to believe her siblings' lies, and the games she played with her siblings became hobbies - such as stealing hats from the guards (which became everyone) and eating butter (which she learned to like). Whenever her brothers would be learning how to swordfight, she would pick up a stick and learn with them whenever she had the time (and the right hiding place to practice). She became quite good with swords, but she would never practice when she needed to practice dancing with her sisters because she loves to dance.

  7. Her father gave her a lyre as a gift when she started playing alone instead of with her siblings - swordfighting with a stick and dancing with brooms instead of attending classes or spending her free time with her siblings. She learned to play the lyre within weeks, but instead of it inspiring her to start up her noble studies again, she found a love for performing and it only furthered her want to adventure.

  10. When she snuck out one night to get a snack, as any child would, she found her mother writing on a piece of paper at the kitchen table. Thinking nothing of it, she began to approach, but froze when she realized how much trouble she would be in because of how strict her mother was. Instead of approaching, she took a glance at the paper, noticed it was a love letter, and went back to bed, thinking nothing of it. She assumed that her parents had a good relationship, but a week later when she got a chance to ask her father if he got the letter her mother wrote for him, he admitted that he never received a letter. It took a few days, but Sylvie finally realized that her mother was in love with someone else - a secret that could tear apart not only their family, but their entire kingdom. She never said anything to anyone.

  13. One day, she got into a horrible fight with one of her older sisters and - being a bard - nearly killed her. She was afraid of owning up to her strict mother and the father who had believed in her so much, so she gathered her things and left without saying goodbye. She's not ashamed of her noble past, but she never brings it up unless she wants to be helpful - in which she shows off the amulet she keeps hidden under the top of her dress, engraved with her family's insignia (a crown of flowers and a pair of wings with the moon, sun, and a star behind them).

  16. Since leaving the place she grew up, she's spent all of her time travelling far from home and performing wherever she can for a little bit of money. It's easy to get a place to settle in for a while because of her signet ring, but she never stays in one place for too long because she's worried that her kingdom's guards will come looking for her.

  19. She still has a childlike wonder and tends to get in trouble because of her brutal honesty, but she can often make up for things with her beautiful performances.
