The Crossroads of Anime: Satellite Girl Digivolves


Michael Drayran's POV

	"This new Digivice will enable YOU to Digivolve. After that mess with Meicoomon, I've decided to alleviate the need for future Digidestined to need partner Digimon by making the Digidestined themselves Digivolve", Gennai explains to me. I was randomly transported to the Digital World by this guy, a brown-haired man in a white robe like a priest would wear, and he told me I'm the first in a new generation of "Digidestined" (Humans chosen to protect the Digital World and the Real World from evil forces).

	"When you return to your world, you must seek out others to join your Digidestined team. Your Digivice is the prototype for the new model that Digivolves the wielder instead of a seperate Digimon partner. When you find someone you want to join your team, your Digivice can send a signal back here and summon another Digivice of this model to you. Once the person you've chosen has touched the Digivice, it will be Synced to them so no one but them can use it to Digivolve", Gennai continues. The Digivice looks like the ones the original eight Digidestined had, resembling an inflated plus sign with a round screen in the center and fitting in the palm of my hand, so it seems odd that it works differently from theirs. Gennai finishes explaining everything and shows me to the Digi-Gate. I hold my Digivice up to it and am transported back to my world.

	The Digi-Gate drops me off in my bedroom. Its still early in the morning. I slip out of my pajamas and into a red shirt and green pants. After a quick breakfast, I set out to recruit some Digidestined. The first place I go to is a nearby cemetery, where I visit the gravesite of Tai Kamiya, who was the leader of the first eight Digidestined. From what I've heard, only two of the original eight Digidestined are still alive: Tai's sister Kari and her husband Takersu (T.K). Both of them are beyond senior citizen age these days. They're probably in their eighties. After contemplating what to do about finding others to be Digidestined on my team, I leave the cemetery and head into town.

	As I walk through town, something shoots past me at incredible speed. No human can move that fast, so I assume it has to be a Digimon. I turn around, Digivice out and ready, and a surprised to see a teenage girl landing on the ground. She has on a blue shirt and plaid skirt. Then, I notice her feet are spewing flame like rockets. I start to approach her, when she suddenly holds one of her arms up at me and FIRES IT AT ME. Now convinced she is a Digimon disguised as a human, I hastily Digivolve to my Champion form: Dragoniamon. In this form, I resemble a humanoid dragon, complete with wings and a tail, and am covered in crimson-colored armor. The girl's arm returns and re-attaches to her.

	"I am Kit-Sat 1, you can call me Kat-1. Some call me Satellite Girl", the girl mutters.

	"My name is Michael Drayran", I respond. Realizing she isn't a Digimon, I de-Digivolve back to my human self and walk up to her. I summon a second Digivice and offer it to her. She takes it, and then blasts off and rockets away. I chase after her, Digivolving to Dragoniamon again just to keep up with her. She leads me to an apartment on top of a hill in the middle of town.

	"My boyfriend lives here. He was once cursed and turned into a cow, but he's human again thanks to me", Satellite Girl explains. She leads me into an apartment where we find a teenage man in a white shirt and blue jeans waiting for her. I recognize him, as I'd seen him playing the piano and singing on TV. He's someone I'd thought about adding to my team. I offer the man a Digivice, but he refuses it despite Satellite Girl showing him the Digivice I gave her.

	"I'd love to be a Digidestined, but I don't have the time to run off and fight evil Digimon right now. If Kat-1 wants to, that's her choice", the man explains.

	"How do I make this "Digivice" work?", Satellite Girl asks me. Before I can answer, there's a loud explosion out in town somewhere. I rush outside to see a huge black cylinder on metal legs with a big red eye and fire inside an opening on its chest.

	"That's the Incinerator", Satellite Girl explains. I see it picking up people with claw-like appendages and carrying them toward the opening in its chest. I rush toward the Incinerator and Digivolve to Dragoniamon.


Satellite Girl's POV

	After seeing Michael Digivolve to Dragoniamon, I decide to get my own Digivice to work so I can Digivolve as well. I try squeezing it, and pressing all the buttons on it. Meanwhile, Dragoniamon attacks the Incinerator with his Wing Laser attack (Dragoniamon can absorb energy into his wings and then fire it off in the form of powerful laser blasts). His attack doesn't seem to phase it. The Incinerator Smacks one laser blast away and it heads straight for me. As I brace for the impact, my Digivice glows.

	"Satellite Girl Digivolve to....Sputnikmon", I shout automatically as the light surrounds me. When the light fades, my appearance has changed. I am covered in light blue armor with solar panel wings attached to my back, still humanoid in shape, with a satellite dish on each arm and satellite antenna on my head. I rush to join Dragoniamon in battle, now knowing what to do. I point the Satellite dishes on my arms at the Incinerator and begin charging them up.

	"Satellite Shot!", I yell. Laser Beams fire from both satellite dishes and zap the Incinerator. The evil machine falls down, but is otherwise unharmed.

	"We're gonna need more power to defeat this thing. Let's Digivolve again", Dragoniamon suggests.

	"Again?", I wonder

	"The level you and I are at right now is called "Champion". We each have two more forms beyond these: our "Ultimate" and "Mega" forms". We should Digivolve again, to Ultimate", Dragoniamon explains, "Dragoniamon Digivolve to....HyperDragoniamon".

	Dragonian was suddenly shrouded in light for a few seconds. When it fades, he has gotten a little bigger, he now has four wings instead of two, and his armor is now turquoise green instead of red. I decide to Digivolve as well.

	"Sputnikmon Digivolve to....Voyagermon", I shout as light surrounds me. When it fades, I too have gotten a little bigger. My armor has turned to a golden color, I grew a second pair of solar panel wings, and the antennae on my head have been replaced with a third satellite dish. HyperDragoniamon and I attack the Incinerator together. Our attacks, Hyper Wing Laser and Super Satellite Shot, send the Incinerator flying. It lands just outside the city and quickly heads back towards us.

	"It's time to finish this", HyperDragoniamon yells.

	"Mega forms?", I ask

	"HyperDragoniamon Digivolve to....MagnaDragoniamon", he yells. Light surrounds him once more and he is transformed so that his armor is gold in color. MagnaDragonian is even taller than HyperDragoniamon.

	"Voyagermon Digivolve to....Dysonmon", I yell as light surrounds me once more. When it fades, I can't see MagnaDragoniamon or the Incinerator any more. Then I realize the buildings in the city are now SHORTER than me. I look down and see MagnaDragoniamon and the Incinerator. MagnaDragoniamon is taller than the Incinerator, but he barely comes up to my knee at his full height. I now have a big spherical satellite dish on my chest and the wings attached to my back have become short and wide, like fan blades, and there's five of them now. The fifth one is behind my head, which makes it look like I have a ceiling fan strapped to my back. The armor covering my body is now silver, but the fan-blade wings are golden. MagnaDragoniamon blasts the Incinerator, knocking it down. before it can get up, I step on the Incinerator and smash it to pieces. Before we can celebrate our victory, a portal opens above us. MagnaDragoniamon flies up and lands on my shoulder, identifying the portal as a Digi-Gate. A creature flies down out of the portal and lands near us. This creature is almost as tall as me. it is red with black fur covering its lower half, somewhat humanoid, has four bat-like wings, blonde hair on its head, claw-like hands, and two horns protruding from the top of its head.

	"VenomMyotismon, an evil Digimon. Mega level", MagnaDragoniamon explains. Instinctively, I attack VenomMyotismon. MagnaDragoniamon attacks him as well. VenomMyotismon withstands both attacks, and then looses a burst of dark energy that knocks both of us backwards.

	"You fools are no match for me", VenomMyotismon sneers.

	"What do we do now?", I ask. Both of our Digivices begin to glow at the same time.

	"I thought Mega was the highest Level. why are our Digivices activating again?", I ask.

	"Mega is the highest Level", MagnaDragoniamon explains, "However, certain pairs of Mega Digimon can undergo what is called a DNA Digivolve. It means they can merge together. Our Digivices activating together like they are now means our Mega forms are capable of this".

	"Then, let's give it a try", I suggest. Bright light surrounds both of us at the same time. I feel myself being pulled towards MagnaDragoniamon, and MagnaDragoniamon being pulled towards me.

	"SatelliteDragoniamon!", we yell in unison as our combined form bursts out of the light. This form is human dragon shape like Dragoniamon, but is silver in color and has five satellite dishes: two clinched in the talons of its feet, 2 on its arms, and one on its head. It has a huge antenna for a tail. Its way bigger than MagnaDragoniamon, but slightly shorter than Dysonmon, standing eye-to-eye with VenomMyotismon.

	"This ends here and now, VenomMyotismon. Omega Satellite Laser!", We yell. All five satellites charge up and fire five powerful energy beams, which combine into a single beam. VenomMyotismon tries to fly away, but our attack hits him anyway and he is blown to pieces. With the battle over, we de-Digivolve back to our human forms.

	"That will happen whenever we destroy an enemy Digimon. They shatter into bits like that and return to the Digital World for reconfiguration, which means they are reborn, hopefully in a less-evil form", Michael explains. The two of us return to my boyfriend's house, and find he has already left for work. We decide to head out and recruit more Digidestined right away. Michael seems worried about VenomMyotismon coming through a Digi-Gate portal like that, and thinks more evil Digimon may be able to so the same. I leave a note for my boyfriend explaining everything, and the two of us head out. As usual, Michael has to Digivolve to Dragoniamon to keep up with me.
