  2. Packs on the tied down on the outside for more storage. In order they drove. 50, Saber, MK, 2 high-backs, 50, Saber, and a MK. The high-backs were loaded down with extra supplies, ammo, and logistics. Lieutenant Easy was in the first high-back. It was his first mission with the experience weapons boys of CAAT 1, Raiders. Their mission was simple, push ahead of the division in search of a missing enemy tank platoon of T-72s and reconnaissance of forward areas. Mission time was anywhere from a couple of days to over a week so the boys packed heavy on supplies and ammo. Attached to the Platoon were also snipers. They drove through a vast steps with intermittent forest and small mountains. After a couple of hours the platoon had to hold down in a forest to avoid a fierce storm. It came from nowhere and had been the worst any of the men have seen. Visibility dropped to almost nothing. “All vics roger up.” Lt Easy called up on the radio but got nothing back. He stepped out of his high-back and went to each truck to see his marines. All were fine but also experiencing radio loss. Finishing up his rounds the storm suddenly passed and once again returned to a clear day. The radios picked up but couldn’t reach anyone outside the platoon. He decided to continue along the mission and seek high ground to reestablish comms. It wasn’t long before leaving that they came to the foot of a mountain and began the movement upwards. When they reached to top the vics circles up as their RO started to make comms with higher, to no luck. “Contact 2.3.5.1. meters bearing 152 degrees enemy armor!” One of the saber gunners called out. Sure enough in the steps there were four tanks circled up about a klick outside a small village. “2 and 8 move online, prep the sabers and two javs.” The saber trucks moved together and the crew prepared the trucks and two javelin missiles. They cleared the back blast and dropped the skirts. Once all preparations where complete the order was given and Lt Easy watched as a volley of two TOW and Javelin missiles were sent out and impacted. Taking out the enemy tank platoon. With on half of his mission complete Lt Easy set his men back up in a circle to observe the surroundings areas and break for chow.

  4. SSgt couldn’t find where they were. The map didnt match up to the terrain and their GPSs didn’t work. While he was half way done with a chili mac one of his vehicle commanders corporal Garcia approach him and his Staff Sergeant. “Gents, I think it would be smart to send a section over to that town to gather any kind of intel and see if we can set some good repor.” SSgt Rico looked to Lt Easy and nodded. “I can keep a section close as overwatch incase anyone tries to sneak up or that town is hostal.” Lt Easy look at Garcia then Rico and agreed, in thirty minutes they he would push out with section one to the village and Rico would be behind in section two. When the time came section one made its decent down the mountain followed about two klicks behind was section two. As they approached the village the forest broke to farm lands and small wooden houses. The people in these outlining areas scattered as they approached and hid in their houses. One older man watched as they drove past on the dirt road. He was wearing what looked like some kind of medieval clothes and stood next to a horse drawn buggy filled with hay. He look at them like they were some kind of aliens. Just outside the village he had the section stop and dismounts spread out. “Section one this is king fisher, move slowly and keep an eye out. There wasn’t any enemy movement in the village from first looking but that doesn’t mean they won’t be hostile.” Trusting section two had their back he took his section and started a slow roll to the village.
  5. As they approached the village they
  6. noticed the people all wore similar clothes to the old man along the roadside and quickly ducked into any building they could. “All vics halt and push out dismounts.” As the men stepped out and started to secure the immediate area some of the villagers stepped out and watched them with caution. He stepped out of the high back walked around looking at the people from next to the vics. “Hello, I’m Lieutenant Easy, I’m looking for any one who is in charge here, and elders or officials.”
