- - Old legend about the hero in green (OoT Link?) slaying the great evil (Ganon?).
- - The legend was passed down and the great evil returned way later, but the hero didn't show up, so the land (Hyrule?) was destroyed.
- - The legend survived, and so it became tradition on this random island for young boys to dress in green when they come of age.
- - Aryll (imouto) wakes me up, it's my birthday! I head over to my grandma and she forces me to wear the green clothes just for today.
- - I go to see Aryll, she gets me a telescope, which allowed me to notice a big bird carrying a girl.
- - A pirate ship attacked the bird, causing it to drop the girl into the forest.
- - I grab a sword and head to the forest to save her. The bird comes back, this time snatching Aryll!
- - I ask Tetra (girl I saved) to let me join her to save Tetra. She accepts, provided I can get a shield. I get the shield from grandma, who bids me farewell.
- - After doing some tasks with Niko (lowest pirate), Tetra launches me into the Forsaken Fortress.
- - I lose my sword, but I stealthily sneak around to recover it
- - I find Tetra, but the bird snatches me now. A man (Ganon?) sigals the bird to toss me away.
- - I wake up to meet the King of Red Lions, who reveals that the man was, indeed, Ganon. He offers to help me, but needs a sail.
- - After a bunch of fetch quests, I get the sail and can now explore the sea!
- - The west wind was blowing, so I headed to the east, to Dragon Roost Island. King told me to go get the Din's Pearl from here. He also gave me the Wind Waker.
- - I found a shrine and learned the Wind God's Requiem.
- - The chief explained that the dragon Varoo, who would grant wings when the kids reached adulthood, has been agitated for a while and nobody knows why. The chief asked me to talk to his son, Prince Komali.
- - Prince Komali is upset after his grandmother passed away and that now he can't gain wings despite reaching adulthood. He clinged on to the Din's Pearl and refused to give it to him.
- - Medli, who was an apprentice of Komali's grandmother, decided to investigate why Varoo is acting like this. I followed her into the Dragon Roost Cavern, the first dungeon!
- - Deep inside, I rescued Medli from some monsters. She explained that a monster has been doing something to Varoo's tail, which is why Varoo was so angry. She also gave me the Grappling Hook.
- - After beating the boss, Varoo calmed down. Prince Komali was grateful and impressed by my courage, so he gave me the Din's Pearl.
- - King of Red Lions told me to go south to Forest Heaven, to speak to the Great Deku Tree to get Farore's Pearl.
- - I made it to Forest Haven, and the Great Deku Tree said he'd hand me the pearl as soon as the ceremony is over. Unfortunately, one of the koroks was missing and was revealed to be in the Forbidden Forest.
- - The Great Deku Tree requests me to go to the Forest to look for him, also giving me the Deku Leaf.
- - After entering the forest, clearing the dungeon and beating the boss, the Great Deku Tree gave me Farore's Pearl.
- - King of Red Lions then told me to head to the Greatfish Isle, for the next one (Nayru's Pearl, I'm guessing).
- - I sailed there, only to find that the island was completely destroyed. The King of Red Lions was worried about the sea spirit Jabun. Then the Rito postman arrived, and explained that Jabun actually survived and escaped to Outset Island, but hid behind a wall. Tetra's pirates actually tried to get there too, but failed, so they headed to Windfall Island.
- - I headed to Windfall Island on the dark stormy night and found the pirate ship there. I snuck into the Bomb Shop and found that the pirates stole the bombs there. Tetra wanted to leave immediately, but the pirates wanted to chill for the night. Tetra noticed me, winked, and declared that they'd leave the next morning.
- - I snuck into the ship, found the lowest pirate again, who then challenged me again, giving me the bombs this time. Tetra contacted me through the pendant, and challenged me to go find Jabun before they head out tomorrow morning.
- - I headed to Outset Island, and after meeting the Great Fairy and healing my grandma, I moved on to the breakable wall with Jabun.
- - King of Red Lions had a conversation with Jabun, but Jabun spoke only in the ancient language. From what I gather, Jabun is hoping for the legendary hero, which I am not, but King of Red Lions believes I show enough potential to fulfill the legend.
- - Jabun gives me Nayru's Pearl, so I then head out into the sea to find the statues where I need to place the Pearls in.
- - After placing the three Pearls on the three statues, a tower rose up from the spot in the center of the triangle directed by the three statues. I was knocked there, and the King of Red Lions came to pick me up. I entered the tower, which is the third dungeon: the Tower of the Gods.
- - After clearing the dungeon, a yellow portal appeared in the water. I got on the King of Red Lions and took the portal.
- - The portal took us to a monochrome world with a castle. The castle contained frozen (monochrome) enemies too. King of Red Lions guided me to solve a puzzle to get to the basement, in which I found a sword on a pedestal.
- - I pulled out the sword, the Master Sword that can slay Ganon, and the world regained its life, all colored. Of course, this means the enemies are alive too, so I had to kill them all.
- - King of Red Lions didn't want to explain anything and instructed me to go to the Forsaken Fortress to defeat Ganon and save Aryll.
- - After a lot of sidetracking (most notably clearing all Submarines), I finally headed to the Forsaken Fortress.
- - On the big central area, I found a black miniboss that fired Energy Balls like Ganondorf, which I swung with the Master Sword. Defeating it generated a chest with the Spike Hammer.
- - I finally reached Aryll (and the other two), at which point Tetra and her gang showed up. They explained that they were distracting the Bird and now they can take care of Aryll and the girls while I head to fight Ganon.
- - As they left, the Bird came back. I had to climb up the tower while the Bird destroyed the paths. At the top, I confronted the Bird in a proper boss battle.
- - After that, I headed up further to meet Ganondorf.
- - I couldn't hit Ganondorf, since apparently the Master Sword lost the power to repel evil. Tetra showed up, but Ganondorf grabbed her. Noticing that his Triforce reacted to her, Ganondorf concluded that she was Zelda.
- - A bunch of Ritos came in to grab me and Tetra while Valoo arrived to burn attack Ganondorf.
- - In front of the Tower of the Gods, the King of Red Lions explained that releasing the Master Sword did, indeed, release the Seal on Hyrule Castle, allowing Ganondorf to attack.
- - He guided me and Tetra underwater again, and instructed me to go to the Master Sword pedestal.
- - That was where I met the King of Hyrule, who explained how he pleaded to the gods to stop Ganon when all hope was lost, and it resulted in Hyrule being flooded. He now takes the form of... the King of Red Lions!
- - He also revealed that Tetra is actually Zelda, and combined her necklace (which was actually a Triforce shard) with his own shard to restore the Triforce of Wisdom, transforming Tetra into her Zelda form.
- - He explained that he wants Tetra/Zelda to stay in this room for safety from Ganon, while I go with him to restore the Master Sword's ability to repel evil, and also to find the eight shards of the Triforce of Courage.
- - Sidetracking time. Cleared all Reefs, Big Octos, Great Fairies, Full Moon Light Rings.
- - Eventually, I warped to the Mother and child Islands, to meet the Fairy Queen. She gave me the Fire and Ice Arrows!
- - I used the Fire Arrows to enter Ice Ring island to get the Iron Boots. Likewise, I used Ice Arrows to scale Fire Mountain and acquire Power Bracelets.
- - I then headed to Headstone Island, moving the giant headstone away. Inside, I saw markings that taught me to conduct the Earth God's Lyric, and I met Laruto, or a ghost of Laruto, who was the Earth Sage. She was defeated by Ganon and asked me to find a new sage from her bloodline, and who plays the same instrument.
- - I headed to Dragon Roost to find Medli playing the same instrument, so I conducted the Earth God's Lyric to her. She felt the tune was familiar, and then saw visions of Laruto, while she awakened as the new Earth Sage. She requests me to take her to the Earth Temple, before Komali notices.
- - On the Earth Temple, Medli played the Earth God's Lyric to open the entrance, and the two of us entered together to explore the dungeon.
- - After beating the boss, part of the Master Sword's power to repel evil was restored. All that's left now is to head to the Wind Temple!
- - After some more sidetracking, I headed to Gale Isle, overcoming the wind with the Iron Boots. It took me a while to realize that I could Hammer out the wind source.
- - Inside, I learned the Wind God's Aria, and met the ghost of Fado, the Wind Sage. He's also a Kokiri.
- - I actually had trouble finding Makar. It was only when I noticed that the music volume changed as I moved around the outer part of Forest Haven that I started to track the source, finding him hiding inside the waterfall.
- - Makar awakened as the new Wind Sage, and I then took him with me to the Wind Temple.
- - At some point, inside the temple, I had to leave Makar alone, but he was captured by some Floormasters. I found him trapped later, but I couldn't rescue him until after I beat the midboss and get the Hookshot.
- - After beating the boss, the Master Sword regained its power to repel evil!
- - Sidetracking needs its own section this time. I started by exploring the various areas in which I needed the Hookshot. This included the Diamond Steppe Island for the Ghost Ship Chart.
- - I then proceeded to seek out every Heart Piece, thanks to the Island Hearts Chart and Sea Hearts Chart. Eventually, I was at 19.75 Hearts. The only one left was...
- - The Savage Labyrinth. It took me a long time before I was finally able to clear this. No Bottles were used, of course. I was rewarded with the final Heart Piece!
- - I then proceeded to fill out my figurine collection, taking pictures of characters and enemies that I still had left. I still had a few blank spots.
- - After all that sidetracking, I sailed to a Ghost Ship and entered it. It was basically just like a submarine, but with a tougher barrage of enemies. Still nothing compared to the Savage Labyrinth. I was rewarded with the final Triforce Chart.
- - After fishing up the last Triforce Piece, the Triforce of Courage was restored!
- - The King of Red Lions told me to return to Hyrule to check on Zelda, so I teleported to the Tower of the Gods and descended into Hyrule.
- - I found Zelda... except it wasn't actually her! Ganon already captured her before, and left a trap behind, leaving me to fight two DarkNuts.
- - As instructed by the King of Red Lions, I left the castle and used the Master Sword to destroy the dark barrier. I continued along the path, killing enemies on the way, to find Ganon's Tower.
- - The first part of Ganon's Tower involved short areas modeled after the Dragon Roost Cavern, Forbidden Forest, Earth Temple, and Wind Temple.
- - At the end of each area was an encounter with their respective boss. Except everything was decolored, and I only had the items and equipment that I carried back when I first fought them. I guess Ganon's magic caused me to revisit the past encounter. My Master Sword didn't lose its strength though, so the earlier bosses died really easily. Taking pictures still resulted in figurines being constructed.
- - Jalhalla was annoying in the decolored environment, because it was harder to find the light.
- - The second part of Ganon's Tower involved a short puzzle that revealed a portal to the Forsaken Fortress. Supposedly this was the portal that Ganondorf took to leave Hyrule.
- - Then came a series of battles with Phantom Ganon (Forsaken Fortress midboss). Following the hilt of the sword after defeating him eventually led me to find the Light Arrows.
- - I used the Light Arrows to kill Phantom Ganon permanently, and the hilt of the sword pointed towards the door to the next area.
- - After killing enemies in the next area, I entered a big room to find Ganondorf with a sleeping Zelda. Apparently she is dreaming of oceans. Ganondorf was waiting for me and transforms into... Puppet Ganon? Wait, I guess that wasn't Ganondorf after all then?
- - After beating Puppet Ganon, I see Ganondorf up above, carrying Zelda, as he retreats. Of course, I pursue him.
- - At the top of the tower, Ganondorf recalls his life in the Gerudo Desert, where the winds would bring death. He coveted the peaceful winds that blew across the green fields of Hyrule.
- - Ganondorf attacks Link, and takes his Triforce of Courage. With all three components, the complete Triforce appears. Except, before Ganondorf could touch it to restore Hyrule, King Daphnes showed up and touched it first. King Daphnes wished for Hyrule to drown, and to bring hope to the future of the world on the surface.
- - Zelda wakes up in time for Ganondorf to attack Link, initiating the final battle!
- - After beating Ganondorf, he speaks about the wind blowing before turning into stone.
- - King Daphnes entrusts Link and Zelda with the future of the world on the surface. Zelda wanted to bring King Daphnes up, but he refused to join in. Hyrule is completely drowned.
- - Link and Zelda wake up floating in the water, with Komali flying nearby. Tetra's ship is waiting to pick us up, with all the pirates and Aryll on it. Medli and Makar are there too.
- - Post-credits, we have Link and Tetra on the ship in front of Outset Island, ready to set sail! The wind will guide them!
