Ate Veggies

Covet: Tae was sitting at one of the booths. Tucked into the back with her feet up on the seat. She had her headphones in and was basically just hanging out here, instead of hanging out at the house.
Alexithymiaa: -Noah had been working today so when he finished up, he'd gone home to shower off the day's grime. Not seeing Tae around, he only assumed she was either at work or at the cafe and his grumbling stomach told him he should check the cafe first. Stepping in, he almost instantly saw her sitting in the first booth with her headphones in and decided to be an asshole if he could work it. Slipping by quickly without looking in her direction, he went behind the booth, climbing up into the seat directly behind her and leaning over the top to put his hand on her head in a claw form, trying to startle her.-
Covet: Tae jumped and slunk down into the booth, "What the fuck, Noah. Why can't you just be like. a little bit normal?" She asked him. "What's up?" She asked again with a smile sitting up in the booth again.
Alexithymiaa: -He broke into a laugh, sliding out of the booth behind her to move and drop into the seat across from her. "Normal is boring. No one cares about normal people." Twisting in his seat, he tried to flag down a waitress. "Hungry."-
Covet: "Okay you might be a little right on that one." Tae said to him. " What are you in the mood for? " She asked him turning around. "I am low on coffee and I think I want a cinnamon roll."
Alexithymiaa: "I don't know. Real food. Like a burger or chicken or something. An actual meal." He slipped out to grab a menu from the front counter, dropping back into his seat to flip it open and browse. "What did you have before?"-
Covet: "I had the soup and a half sandwich. Soup is Tomato bisque." Tae told him waiting for him to order so that they could place it at the same time.
Alexithymiaa: -He flipped the menu to the next page, scanning the options before setting it down and flagging the waitress again. "Soup does nothing for me. It's just an obstacle between me and the real food." (Something my brother said once....) When the waitress came over, he passed the menu to her. "Can I get a mediterranean chicken panini with sweet potato fries and a rootbeer?"-
Covet: "The soup was the dip for the sandwich. It was a condiment at best." Tae said with a laugh. "Can I also get a refill on my coffee and a cinnamon roll, warmed up please. Seperate ticket please."
Alexithymiaa: -He waited for the waitress to walk away before turning his attention to Tae across the table. "I can buy you a coffee and a cinnamon roll. I probably owe you anyway."-
Covet: "You don't need to. I'm fine with purchasing it myself. Save your paybacks for later." Tae told him watching the waitress make her way back to fill up her coffee cup.
Alexithymiaa: "Later?" He asked, raising his brows as he folded his hands together on the table in front of him. "What do you mean later?"-
Covet: "Later, like.. when I actually need something?" Tae said with a tilt to her head, with a smile.
Alexithymiaa: "What would you actually need from me? You don't need anything from anyone." He paused, considering. "Except something that I'm very willing to give you whenever you want." Followed by that sly grin.-
Covet: "I don't know yet, that's why I want you to save it. Especially because I can get that other thing from you whenever I want." Tae told him with a smirk, doctoring up her coffee.
Alexithymiaa: "Fine fine." He said with a roll of his eyes, getting excited when their food came out of the kitchen. He sat up when the waitress set the plates down on their table, instantly grabbing for his hot sandwich and taking a large bite. "Oh it's so good. The roasted peppers are the perfect addition."-
Covet: "Wait, you're actually eating vegetables?" Tae said raising her eyebrows as she dug into her warm gooey cinnamon roll.
Alexithymiaa: "They're mixed in with cheese and chicken and grease so it doesn't really count." He said between bites, making good headway on his sandwich.-
Covet: "I think it still counts. At least a little bit." Tae said with a laugh, "It's probably healthier than my cinnamon roll."
Alexithymiaa: "It's definitely healthier than your cinnamon roll. Mine might be greasy, but at least I've got protein and dairy and vegetables in here. There's nutrients as opposed to your straight sugar and carbs."-
Covet: "But they are so delicious and wonderful. Carbs are life." Tae said shoving another bite in her mouth.
Alexithymiaa: "That's going to catch up with you one day." He spoke under his breath, just loud enough for her to hear. Noah, no.-
Covet: "Maybe, but That's future me's problem." Tae said then stuck her tongue out at Noah.
Alexithymiaa: "Spoken like true immaturity." He beamed, trying to intentionally rile her up. He grabbed a few fries and shoved them into his mouth.-
Covet: "You're only saying that because you know immaturity so well." She told him because two can play that game.
Alexithymiaa: "I have identified and surpassed your level of maturity." He spoke in a mock sophisticated tone, sitting up straighter and sticking his nose into the air.-
Covet: Tae couldn't help but burst out laughing. "Yeah, Okay. That what you tell yourself every night before you sleep?"
Alexithymiaa: "Nope, because I don't give a fuck." He said as he pushed more fries into his mouth. "Maturity is overrated."-
Covet: "Then you can't say you surpassed mine, if you don't even think it's relevant, you ass." Tae said giving him a light kick under the table.
Alexithymiaa: "Just because I don't care doesn't mean I haven't surpassed you." He laughed, shifting his legs in a jerking motion when she kicked him.-
Covet: "Yeah because you're just above it all huh?" Tae said looking at him. "Anything else you want to be above tonight?"
Alexithymiaa: "Above everythinggggg." He said as he finished the food on his plate, leaning back in the booth to relax. "Not above going home to take my pants off though."-
Covet: "Not quite what I meant. But I'm sure you'll get there here in a second." Tae said, sliding out of the booth, to stretch. "Would you like a ride home?"
Alexithymiaa: "I would love a ride home. I just need to stick my bike in your trunk." He said, raising his brows at her suggestively even though he was being literal.-
Covet: "Yeah sure...." Tae said rolling her eyes at him with a laugh heading out to her vehicle.
