  1. Nation Name: Gashten Republic
  2. Race: Humans and Wölren
  3. Government: Federal Republic
  4. Motto: We will protect our people to the last!
  5. Lore:
  6. The unification of Gashten has been a recent one. Formerly a loose coalition of states wishing to have some form of alliance against the two major powers on the continent, through a series of diplomatic talks, the nations agreed to unify under one government, one banner. In that time, the Gashten people have solidified into a culture of hard working, and fiercely independent people.
  7.
  8. The Government of the Republic consists of the Senate, which is made up of representatives from each of the constituent former nations. Said representatives are elected once every 5 years by the general populace. There is also a congress, with a similar process of election. With corruption an issue during the birth of the republic, many anti-corruption taskforces monitor the government as a whole to ensure public servants and representatives serve the public, and not their own interests.
  9.
  10. Militarily, the Republic focuses on infantry, with camouflage being issued universally to their forces. Tanks occupy a secondary role, supporting half-track APCs and armored vehicles with large caliber automatic cannons mounted to them, which they refer to as "Infantry Fighting Tanks", though they are less armored then even light tanks, though much faster, and can carry infantry inside of them. In addition, armored cars see heavy use in the Republican Army. Tactics emphasize mobility in warfare, with infantry being ferried out to the front alongside IFTs and proper tanks.
  11.
  12. A unique development in Gashten's military is part of their support units, namely, corps of young women, trained and adept with the use of magics. These generally range from healing to small explosions. While not all that powerful, they are a force multiplier, and effective on the field.
