  1. Preparations:
  2.
  3. Beforehand, bring like 5 Potions, as many Poké Balls as can and 6 total items. BTW to route east of Fuchsia with Poké Balls on hand and save (do not heal at Pokémon Centers above Pewter).
  4. From low health from Tackles, catch Ditto. (it's hard so may have to keep trying)
  5. Deposit Bulbasaur from Fuchsia Center without healing, have Ditto left
  6. Faint to Bird Keeper Spearow west of Fuchsia
  7. Return to Pewter
  8. Withdraw Bulbasaur, deposit Ditto, repeat BTW (second move 16 third move 36 PP), heal at Pewter Center if necessary and use Potions to keep PP the same.
  9. BTW to Vermilion City, heal at Center, withdraw Ditto
  10. Walk to Diglett's Cave, do Transform moves swap glitch with Ditto for CT, prepare item to duplicate to x255 in slot 6
  11. CT (Pokémon menu in battle) on Diglett, throw Poké Ball, get MissingNo. and sixth item +128 on quantity.
  12. Change quantity to x127 by tossing or selling. Open menu, view status of Ditto, repeat (if have 5 items get 6 again, can sell duplicated items).
  13. With stack x255, set up dry underflow glitch in both bag and PC items
  14. Rival's name = 6 characters long before 0x50. If messed up, can manipulate length to be x6 with expanded items
  15. Get items 0x9E, 0x5E ("9F"), Master Balls. From Vermilion City, you can go east and catch a Spearow with a Master Ball (might not be needed as MissingNo. can learn Fly). 9F is also on this route; bring it up to top. Bring up "Name?" too. If at this point saving brings up another message this is normal (ignore)
  16. Find TM52 on Route 1; how to get there - Go through Diglett's Cave and use "Name?" to clip through Cut tree. Make sure you never send out MissingNo.
  17. Teach it Fly
  18. Badges; item 29 (j.) replace with anoter item (e.g. the HM04) check if can Fly, if so, Fly away
  19. Go to Celadon - Fly to Fuchsia and walk west (guard will still make you walk west if haven't given drink)
  20. Do Celadon looping map glitch to get item 0x9E (try to swap with Select but beware of lag; if 'freeze' press B repeatedly slowly while holding up until menu responsive again). You might have a Cancel as third item. If so, move below and swap with one of the first j. you can see.
  21. Fly back to Celadon City, locate Rare Candy (9 steps west from Nugget location). Might want to open menu as if finding the Nugget first to avoid lag. Step up to get x0 Rare Candies.
  22. Get the Spearow/Fearow (will be Fearow if don't cancel evolution) to Level 80 with the Rare Candies.
  23. Fly to Fuchsia City and deposit all your Pokémon except Fearow
  24.
  25. Actions:
  26.
  27. Change expanded PC item 52 quantity to x36 D5A2=0x24 (-138 from x0 stack)
  28. Change expanded bag item 36 to x118 to warp to Hall of Fame. Change the x7 in exit destination item to x6 first to avoid black screen tint while swapping with Ultra Ball x0 above
  29. Fly back to Fuchsia City and do Rival LG for glitch Pokémon 0xDC (220). (Normally fourth character of six character long Rival's name as an item quantity). Beware of potential lag items and swapping in control character item x0 if didn't set up Rival's name to be 6 easy characters in advance.
  30. Catch the 0xDC (appears as bold "C"). Pokédex should be full of 9s but not freeze the game after button press.
  31. VRAM will be corrupted and (relevant to this HoF entry corruption, the cursor position) on the items list. Exit with B, then press down, then open Pokémon menu.
  32. Pokémon cursor position is now on position 00. Press up desired number of times to do the expanded party swap/"Select glitch" of your choice.
  33.
  34. Example: Swap Pokémon 144, 160 or 161 with Pokémon 10 to get a lot of Pokédex entries. e.g. CC35 read 90 (Pokémon 144 CC25 would be 8F) and swap with CC25 09 (Pokémon 10).
