Intelligence plus common sense (a rare combination in the contemporary world) can help us solve many simple and difficult problems alike *but we must first become aware of and switch off our pre-existing [often emotional] biases*.







By the way, while he didn't actually lick the scissors you definitely saw that he went to _lick at_ them - right? You aren't going to assert that didn't happen?! So why would you seek to enable the behaviour by making excuses for it? (How so? You sought to minimise what happened by focusing on the fact he didn't physically place the scissors on his tongue despite that *obviously being his intention*. Do you understand what "intent" means?)







Are we to suppose his rigorous "astronaut safety training" kicked in at the last moment sparing him an embarrassing visit to the ship's "sickbay"? _My, what an imagination you have!_
