mystic spirits

Meta Knight stood in front of a pedestal. He kneeled on the ground.

"For what reason have you called me here, spirits?" He asked.

Four transparent blue humanoid figures, indeterminate in shape, appeared before the masked knight. Their "eyes" glowed.

"A great evil threatens Dream Land, and potentially all of Pop Star." One of the spirits began.

"I do not understand. My warriors have been keeping guard for years in the kingdom." Meta Knight replied in confusion.

"The lord of Dark Matter, Zero, has acquired the Star Rod." Said another of the spirits.

Meta Knight's eyes widened. How could someone so evil have gotten his hands on such an artifact? If Zero finds the Star Staff's other half, the universe is doomed.

"I understand now. But I inquire, how may I fight back against this new threat?" He asked again.

The spirits' eyes glowed once more. They projected an image of a young puffball boy, pink as a peach.

"Kirby! I know about him, I've been his mentor for years! But, how? What can he do?" Meta Knight exclaimed.

The spirits stopped projecting the image of the boy.

"Unknown to anyone else, we have had the Star Staff's other half hidden in containment here ever since its splitting. When the time comes, you must bring the boy here, for he is the only one with the heart to wield the true power of the Mystics." One of the spirits explained.

Suddenly, the ground shook. Outside, Zero's forces were attacking Dream Land.

"And that time is now. Go forth! Find Kirby and bring him to us!" The spirit ordered
