  1. Backstory:
  2. Korgul was born in a small nomadic tribe of humans, orcs and half orcs. They wandered the boundaries between the forest and mountains of the mainland and the harsh desert landscape to the south of the region. The tribe would subside off the lands of the forest and trade with the few desert folk that knew of them, other travelers were not as lucky and would often get ambushed by them while passing through. Many people saw them as beasts and their cross breeding unholy. An inquisitor from some long forgotten cult sought to wipe them out, disillusioning the encampment with eldritch magic the tribesmen went into a mad frenzy attacking anything in sight, not knowing what was fried or foe. Korgul managed to stumble out of the tainted air and find the source. He charged at the inquisitor from behind only for him to turn and take notice at the last second. The inquisitor was impaled by Korgul’s mighty sword and pinned to the ground. With his dying breath he cast a curse on the blade that struck him. The dark wizard finally fell with a twist of his blade, but as he did the blood from his fallen brethren came pouring in towards the blade and crawling up it’s edge towards Korgul’s hand. He was unable to remove his hand from the zweihander and watched as it turned blood red. The voices of his tortured clansmen pierced his mind and drowned out all thought. Korgul fell into a blind rage and went on a rampage through out the nearby village, killing all he came into contact with. As he cleaved through the townspeople the blade changed form into many types of weapon and seemed to be driving his murderous rampage. Eventually Korgul managed to regain an uneasy control over the weapon. It was too late though, the town was massacred. Korgull threw the blade to the ground and ran as far as he could. He would set up camp for the night to try and recollect his thoughts. When he woke up the following morning the blade was in his hand again. Korgol was never able to free it from himself and eventually became able to control the bloodlust but would still lose his mind on occasion in the thick of combat. Korgol, now without a living family member left and his home tainted with blood and dark magic wandered from town to town working as a blade for hire. As he traveled he became stronger and sought out more difficult tasks to test his strength. Korgul headed deep inland in search of someone with a true quest to test his might.
