  1. [History]
  2. It’s not a secret that Trollkind is a Violent and Ruthless Race. In no other place during their history is it more evident than their Species-wide Militia known as The Imperial Fleet, or just ‘The Fleet’ for short. Trolls as young as 14 years old are recruited into this Military Force and are expected to conform or die during this transitional period into their new life: The Campaign.
  3.
  4. While each Rung of The Fleet is manned by different Castes, every Fleet Soldier from the Lowblooded Cavalreapers to the Violetblooded Orphaners is expected to uphold Her Imperious Condescension’s ferocity and tenacity in the heat of battle. If a Lowblooded Troll didn’t die in battle and, instead, lived long enough to ‘retire’ from their Fleet Position after a, now defunct, Mandatory Minimum 18 Sweep (39 Year) Campaign, it reflected poorly on their Loyalty to the Empress and their willingness to die for their Empire. Most Lowbloods between Rust and Yellow died during their service due to Combat, if not simply Natural Causes and their decreased Lifespan.

  9.
  10. While most of the Fleet’s Employ is Active Soldiers, a large portion of the workforce are Custodians to the Fleet Ships they serve. Janiterrors, Psionic Batteries, Hashslingers, Medicullers, and Ranchampions help keep a Fleet Ship in running order. No self-respecting ‘Midblood’ or Highblood would find themselves working any of these menial positions, and there is little glory in dying as a scullery worker.
  11.
  12. There are also Non-Soldier Positions within the Fleet, both in Campaign and on Trollian Colonies, doing things such as Advercate Legal Work, Ranchampions tending farms, Engileers, and other menial tasks that are funded by The Imperial Fleet due to their importance in the perpetuation of Trollkind. While these jobs don't offer Soldier Training, they are often preferable for Lowbloods who lack the physical prowess to survive being a Soldier. They are considered 'less honorable' Fleet Positions and are barely recognized as being a part of the Fleet at all.
  13.
  14. Ranks of High Prestige are almost always manned by Trolls in castes above Jade, with special exceptions only if a Lowblooded Soldier manages to catch the attention of Her Imperious Condescension herself and earns the Imperial Favor; an honorary pardoning from The Fleet which allows one to retire without the negative social connotations of surviving ones’ Campaign. This Imperial Favor has only been granted 3 times in Trollkind’s Recorded History, with the farthest back Favor going to ‘The Ψiioniic’, a personal Battery for HIC herself.
  15.
  16. [Modern Day Fleet]
  17. While the Fleet’s Human Counterpart, The Crusade, has taken this time of peace to relax its intense regimen and the Social importance of what it means to be a Crusader, The Imperial Fleet has seemingly picked up every inch of slack The Crusade has let out.
  18.
  19. Over the past 40 years since the decline of the intensity of ‘The Trollian War’, The Fleet has been increasing the difficulty of training one must undergo for their Campaign. Active Deployment for Trolls between the ages of 14 and 18 years old has gotten more difficult, with Expansive Colonization seemingly being the forefront of The Imperial Fleet’s modus operandi. This rampant and frantic Colonization is done beyond the knowledge of The Crusade and directly violates some of the Truce Treaties between Tollkind and Humankind, but it is considered Hemorebellion to bring this to The Crusade’s Attention and conspiratraitors who are found running their mouths are quickly silenced by The Condesce’s personal Laughsassins.
  20.
  21. Modern Fleet Soldiers, regardless of Caste, have a ‘Minimum Campaign’ of 10 Years (4.62 Sweeps), though ‘retiring’ after serving these 10 mandated years is considered dishonorable and generally frowned upon. Great strides have been made by The Crusade in easing the likelihood that Lowbloods die during service to The Fleet, met with resistance at every step by Her Imperious Condescension and the Trollian Empire at large.
  22.
  23. A large number of Fleet Soldiers have been deployed, especially those serving their 10-Year Campaign, to Paradise under the guise of civilians and workers to keep their True Intentions hidden. Any Troll below 40 Years of Age who has already gone through their Intense 4-year Training Regimen (14-18) has the potential to be a Highly Trained Fleet Soldier who is simply biding their time until they receive orders from The Empress.
  24.
  25. Currently, factions of The Fleet take indirect orders from The Crusade, though there are Hemoloyalist Zealots who simply refuse to work alongside Humans or take orders from Human Captains. There is currently no punishment for this behaviour aside from reassignment.
