A Penguin Named Pegg

Yoshizilla-Rhedosaurus: Noticed something quite surprising here, eh? This new penguin guy? The name's Pegg. Pegg The Penguin. Pegg is a pretty fast, quite athletic penguin who just loves competition. Pegg also has some admiration for good ol' Waluigi here. Anyway, this is just an original character who I've adopted onto one of the more interesting NPC penguins from Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games in the DS version, so I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Waluigi was out in the large, snowy region known by everyone as simply Cold, Cold Mountain today, having gone there to do some skiing in his own right. Renting from appropriately purple-colored skiis from a nearby lviing snowman, he headed up one of the snowy hills and started going downhill, shouting in excitement. As he continued skiing on the freezing cold ice, he glanced to his right, to see a blue penguin wearing some blue goggles and a red-and-yellow striped scarf.

"Yeah! Go Waluigi!" The scarfed penguin cheered as it blew kisses towards Waluigi.

Waluigi out cried in disgust as he tripped, landing flat on his face from the kisses. He got up, growling as he approached the penguin and picked it up, fuming mad.

"Do you have any idea how sick and twisted that is!?" Waluigi snapped as he revealed his horrifying teeth at the scarfed penguin, "What's wrong with you!? Can't you see I'm practising for the Olympics!?"

The scarfed penguin gulped as it rubbed the back of its head in modesty. "Gulp... well, gee willikers, Mr. Waluigi. I didn't mean to..." It was placed down as Waluigi sighed.

"All right, kid, I'll forgive you. But next time, don't hinder me," Waluigi replied as he looked up at the cloudy, snowy sky and glanced down at the scarfy penguin, "So, kid, what's your name, anyway?"

The scarfed penguin became excited. "Oohh, Mr. Waluigi, I thought you'd never ask! My name's Pegg, and I came all the way from Polastraits!" It then pointed at itself, comfirming its true gender as it continued, "My fellow colleagues always state that I'm the fast one. Why of course, only being the fastest penguin in the Polastraits Academy for Male Penguins should count for something! Why, I even raced the world famous Sonic The Hedgehog..."

Waluigi froze, glancing at Pegg with a shocked expression, his jaw dropped.

"You mean... you were THAT penguin who challenged Sonic...?" Waluigi stuttered, his right eye twitching.

Pegg smiled, nodding as he replied while holding his pride, "Why, of course. Chubby old Mario isn't really the kind of guy I expect to race, but SONIC... man, is he fast. I thought he was going to be a push over, but man!" He chuckled as he slightly adjusted his scarf, "He actually was the king of speed, after all! Of course, I'll get back at him after I do some more training, because I'm the fastest penguin the Polastraist Academy for a reason, but-"

He continued to blabber as Waluigi left, leaving behind the pair of skiis he borrowed from one of the living snowmen who owned the skii area, heading back to his private island.

Yoshizilla-Rhedosaurus: Yes, this means that I'm going to be using Pegg the Penguin for several of my works from now on. What better way than to take an interesting, no name NPC from a great game (in this case, the DS version of Mario and Sonic Winter Olympics) and turn him into an even more interesting character? Be on the look out for him in my fanfics to follow, if you catch my drift.
