  1. I've been dealing with mental health issues for a long time now, and in the past few months I've decided enough is enough and have sought to get help for it. I've been to the doctors and to a therapist a few times, and I got prescribed an anti anxiety medication last week.

  3. The first time I took the prescription I had an allergic reaction that took me out for a day, which was a day that we were supposed to do a big project at my work. I felt like shit because I let everyone at my job down. They were understanding about it, but I hate letting people down like that.

  5. I'm now on a different medication and I feel that it is helping, but I think my body is still trying to normalize. It seems like I can't have any alcohol with my new meds so that really sucks, because I do like to drink. I guess I have to go sober now lol, but if it comes down to it I'd rather have better mental health than be able to get drunk.

  7. I know there's a huge stigma in the USA for men getting treatment for mental issues, but I knew that I was just going downhill if I didn't get help. If you are having issues, please see someone about it. Your health is more important than other people's opinions. I'm just lucky that I have a job where I'm covered by my health plan. I hate that in the USA if you don't have insurance there's no way of getting treatment. People shouldn't be suffering because their employers won't provide insurance.

  9. I'm glad to have friends and family that have been supportive over the years. Y'all are great.
