The Minnesota Vikings traveled to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles in the NFC Championship game. The Vikings are hoping to be the first team to play the Super Bowl in their home stadium. The Eagles are looking to get to the Super Bowl for the third time in their history. Both teams are looking for their first Vince Lombardi Trophy. Who would come out on top in this NFC Championship game? Let's find out! The Vikings would start with the ball and go on a nine play drive and end with Case Keenum going to Kyle Rudolph for a 25 yard touchdown pass for a 7-0 Minnesota lead. The Eagles would get a quick first down but they would be unable to move the chains again and would be forced to punt. On the next Vikings possession, on third and 8, Keenum would be intercepted by Patrick Robinson and he would return it 50 yards for the touchdown to tie the game at 7. The Vikings would go three and out on their next drive. The Eagles would go on a 12 play drive that would end with an 11 yard touchdown run by LeGarrette Blount to give Philadelphia a 14-7 lead early in the second quarter. The Vikings would go three and out once again. The Eagles would drive as far as the Vikings 44 yard line but they couldn't move it any further and would punt the ball once again. The Eagles would take over at their own 15. On second and 8, Keenum would find Stefon Diggs for 22 yards. The Vikings faced a third and 6 and Keenum would find Diggs for eight yards. On the next play, Keenum would find Andre Thielen for 12 yards to the Eagles 37 yard line. On second and 7, Keenum would find Jerick McKinnon for 13 to the Eagles 21 yard line. On third and 5 at the Eagles 16 yard line, Keenum would get sacked by Derek Barnett and force and recover the fumble. The Eagles would take over at their own 24. The Eagles would face a third and 6 after the two-minute warning and Nick Foles would find Corey Clement for eight yards. Foles would find Torrey Smith for 11 to their own 47 yard line. On third and 10, it looked like Foles would get sacked but he would escape and find a wide open Alshon Jeffrey for a 53 yard touchdown pass for a 21-7 Eagles lead. The Vikings would face a third and 3 and Keenum would find Jerrius Wright for 11 yards to their own 43 yard line. The Vikings would be forced to punt however and the Eagles would take over at their own 20 yard line with 29 seconds to go. First play of the drive, Foles would find Jay Ajayi for 11 yards to the 31 yard line. Foles would find Ertz for 36 yards to the Vikings 33 yard line. Foles would find Ajayi for 13 yards to the 20 yard line. The Eagles would line up for a 38 yard field goal by Jake Elliott and he would make it for a 24-7 Philadelphia lead at halftime. The Eagles would start with the ball and would go eight plays and end with Foles going to Smith for a 41 yard touchdown and a 31-7 advantage for Philadelphia. The Vikings on second and 10, Keenum would find McKinnon for 13.On second and 1, McKinnon would go for two yards. On the next play, Keenum would find Wright for 33 yards to the Eagles 18 yard line. On third and 10, Keenum would find McKinnon for 11 yards to the seven yard line. The Vikings would go for it on fourth and goal at the seven yard line and Keenum would go to Thielen and looked like he would have a touchdown but upon further review, the ball hit the ground and the Eagles would take over. The Eagles would go on a 12 play drive that would extend the lead to 38-7 early in the fourth quarter as Foles found Jeffrey for a five yard touchdown pass. On second and 5, Keenum finds Wright for seven yards. The Vikings would go for it on fourth and 2 and Keenum's pass would fall incomplete and the Eagles would take over. The Eagles would go three and out on their next drive. The Vikings would drive as far as the Eagles 15 yard line and on second and 10, Keenum's pass would be intercepted by Corey Graham, deflected by Ronald Darby with 5:52 to go in the game. The Eagles would take over and run out the clock as they took down the Minnesota Vikings 38-7 to advance to Super Bowl 52. They will face the New England Patriots on February 4th.
