  1. Setup:
  2. >Have a grace period of a day or two to allow factions to build shit during the start.
  3. >Nothing inside faction territory can be destroyed by non-faction members during grace periods.
  4. >After the initial 24/7 grace period is over, start having specific blocks of time to allow for raids and territorial combat. 2-3 hour chunks during peak hours where land protections are completely nullified and anything goes.
  5. >The game remains in grace period otherwise outside of these combat hours. And combat can still happen outside faction territory during grace periods of course.
  6. >This prevents people from thinking they have to be on 24/7 in fear of raids and prevents larger factions from doing better by virtue of having more people to be online at any given time. It balances the game by allowing every faction to prepare for a specified period of combat. It also acts as sort of a "event" which'll help keep people interested in the game.
  7. -Have a definitive winner, it's better than shit just slowly dying out like usual. Whatever faction has the most territory claimed after like a week or two wins.

  10. >The current land protection and claiming system is clunky as fuck. Fucking ditch it.
  11. >Instead give every faction a pre-determined chunk of land surrounding their island and leave it at that initially.
  12. >Near the center of every island is a "core" block. If enough enemy faction members stand around the core, that territory is claimed as theirs.
  13. -Island land size is based on expected faction size. No reason for boards like /b/ to have massive fucking land masses when they don't even play.

  15. General gameplay:
  16. -The pre-existing allied/neutral/enemy faction dynamic works well, keep it.
  17. -Make diamonds and gunpowder more plentiful to curb the autismo grinding factor, which just gives larger factions even more of a leg-up over smaller ones.
  18. -Remove enchanting outright and nerf potions as well to help with this. Grinding for good enhancements is fucking awful and a massive grind. Same with potions to a lesser extent.
  19. -Essentially tweak gameplay to curb down on the autisic grinding involved in getting combat ready. Game should be about whoever has the best strategies and shit, not whatever faction has the most amount of NEETs to grind for better gear.
