- Cold; KC is very cold towards people this is mostly because of his troubled childhood. However, he is also just naturally a cold person and is not easy to get to know.
- Pessimistic; He has a very bad outlook on life and despises humanity because not much good has happened in his life.
- Violent; He is very violent and hostile and this makes it very hard for people to get close to. He also makes other people fear him which he likes.
- Animalistic; He acts on animal-like instincts before actually thinking about what he is going to do. This makes him really unpredictable. He can also be very territorial.
- Skilled; KC has incredible strength more than any man could have and he has superhuman durability. Along with this, he has enhanced senses and vision which make him a good fighter. Due to him pending a lot of his time swimming, he is an amazing swimmer and he is able to stay underwater for extremely long periods of time.

- He and his brother had a very abusive mother. As well as being abusive, she was also an alcoholic. When she drank, she had no control over her actions and one night this was worse than he would have ever expected. She came home really drunk from a night out with her friends and started shouting at his brother for God knows what. Suddenly she became silent and her eyes changed. She grabbed his brother by the hair and smashed his head against the kitchen counter. He was only 8 years old. She did not even do anything. She just walked out of the room. She killed him and she didn't seem to regret it because when he tried to take him to the hospital, she would threaten that she would kill him too.
- Their dad walked out on them when he was 10 and his brother was 6. He was not a very good dad anyway. He liked to drink and was constantly arguing with their mother.
- Their mother and father were both physically abusive towards each other and whenever this happened, he and his brother would sneak out and go for a walk so they wouldn't have to hear what they were saying.
- Another tragic story from his younger days was that he was out with a friend when his friend needed to go back somewhere to get something that he had forgotten. Suddenly a man approached him and held a gun up to his forehead (bear in mind he was waiting in an alleyway). As his friend came back, he saw the man and started screaming. The man told him to shut up but he wouldn't listen and so the man shot a bullet right through his neck. He got him to hospital but he died as soon as he got there due to too much blood loss.
