- What a day!
- Adrian needed to direct his attention elsewhere, take his mind off what had just occurred. He imagined that if Forte was going to spread the information he'd be labeled a home wrecker, an indecent bastard, so on and so forth. He cared little.
- At any rate, the scholar was too lazy to put on his garments. He could do his work naked-- it didn't really make a difference. He had finished perfecting the design of the device. He had put practice to theory by constructing his device based off the specifications he had imposed on himself.
- Now? Now he had to focus on the runic theory behind the device. How exactly was he going to utilize runes to power the device, to make it fully-functional without any complications? It would take time. He had an idea of where he was going-- but everything had to be organized properly before he could continue.
- He opened up his tome. The page next to the schematics labeled with notes was absent of any markings, perfect! It left him with the room he needed. Adrian flipped through his notebook for a moment, going back to the section that was dedicated to his notes on daemons. One of the first pages was labeled with the runic theory that was implemented in the construction of the daemon containment device.
- He would base his theory around that-- but before he could, he had to familiarize himself with the concepts that were implemented. He hadn't made a capture cube in a very long time. On top of that, he'd have to physically interact with the ones that he did have on him in order to paint a better picture.
- He was in for a fun time.

- Adrian took another sip of his wine. Many would argue that indulging in drinking during something so delicate such as research was an elementary mistake-- but not for Adrian.
- Wine had a way of accentuating his thought process. Got the creative juices flowing. Either way, he wasn't getting drunk. His senses weren't impaired to such a degree that it would affect his work. The scholar had dedicated several hours to close observation of his personal notes in regards to the containment cube and made an effort to observe the tangible object as well.
- Moving his wrist a little, the scholar stirred the wine in his glass.
- He had committed the organization of the runes he used to create the daemon containment device to memory. They were also right there, available for observation on his notes. The scholar picked up the secondary casing of the device-- the steel-adamantine ring that would be located at the center of the bracer he intended to turn into a functionalritual storage device.
- The appropriate alterations were made, slowly but surely. He had to edit the commands in the original runic scripture to made it so that instead of storing a daemon, the runes would enable the storage of magical energy. He made sure to include a very specific command that would enable the storage to be dependent on the elemental crystals-- the ones that would be placed into the trapezoid-like protrusions in order to serve as a functional catalyst for the process.
- Of course, everything was put on paper first. He wasn't actually going to enchant the steel-adamantine band without knowing that the runes were amicable and ready to serve their intended purpose.
- He spent the next few days reviewing everything, working out whatever kinks and inconsistencies that may have appeared while he was working on the set of commands. There was no time to sleep. Every now and then, he zapped himself with small amounts of electricity to make sure he didn't fall asleep.

- It wasn't quite time to put theory to practice.
- He had drawn out some more sketches on the next available page, only these ones were exclusively in regards to the placement of the runic arrays and the symbols that accompanied them. Placement and symmetry were key. They directed the course of the mana, the flow of the commands.
- The array itself would be circular, like many. Only the circle was stretched along the circumference of the steel-adamantine band, with symbols running along the center. Combining the inscriptions themselves into the lining of the array would add another layer of power that would be required for the storage of a ritual.
- The only other set of runes on the device would be etched into the insides of the sockets of the trapezoid-like protrusions, where the elemental shards would be stored. They would connect seamlessly into the main array and siphon the required functions back to the central rune.
- More sleepless nights followed. It was clear, Adrian was intent on turning his dream into a reality.
