  1. Lesta Nediam Notes on On Dropped Frames
  2.
  3. Last updated: 3rd February, 2016.
  4.
  5. Dropped frames and the alleged "ISS" ("International Space Station")
  6.
  7. Note: this was very hastily written just to get something down. In time I will need to re-write this properly.
  8. __________
  9.
  10. This is the most common "plausible explanation" that "ISS" believers cite for the "masking glitches" that we can routinely see during purported "ISS" footage.
  11.
  12. When "ISS" believers cite it as an explanation are asked to provide a "known good example" replicating the glitch they never do so. This is not surprising because "dropped frames" as a video problem looks very different to what we see in the purported "ISS" footage.
  13.
  14. When you look for known good examples of "dropped frames" in legitimate video we tend to see it affecting *all of the frames* or at least *many frames.* It does not affect just a single frame from the video.
  15.
  16.
  17. When dealing with these "useful idiots" and "NASA" apologists an approach might be:
  18.
  19. To initially ask:
  20.
  21. 1. Do you acknowledge that the "glitch" (which you are suggesting is a "dropped frame") is happening to just a single frame (or at most ~2 consecutive frames) and is not affecting the entirety of the footage but only a very brief portion of it.
  22.
  23. 2. Do you acknowledge that the camera which is recording the footage is fixed and not moving.
  24.
  25. 3. Do you acknowledge that the lighting is ideal?
  26.
  27. 4. Do you acknowledge that the subject of the footage (the alleged "astronauts") are not moving vigorously - their movements are "typical" and nothing excessive?
  28.
  29.
  30. IF SO
  31.
  32. Can you show a known good example where it only affects a single frame (or at most 2 frames) from a FIXED camera with ideal lighting where the subject is NOT moving all that much or excessively?
  33.
  34. Of course the answer is NO.
  35.
  36. Remember also: the "glitch" does not happen THROUGHOUT the footage - but sporadically. This is important. I suggest the "masking glitch" is being DISGUISED as a "dropped frame" glitch. Most people who see it will think "that's a dropped frame" but never look into it (or wonder why it isn't happening ALL the time).
  37.
  38. The "ISS" believer is employing wishful thinking (or perhaps more accurately MAGICAL THINKING). They badly want to believe that humanity has achieved a permanent zero-gravity environment where people are permanently stationed. To support this belief (which is a "shadow belief" since it has not arisen due to observing "sufficient proof") they are inventing "plausible explanations" such as "dropped frames".
  39.
  40. __
  41.
  42. When it comes to "known good" examples of genuine dropped frames occurring during real world footage what we see typically happens while the camera is panning or while the subject is moving rapidly. It also tends to occur over many frames and would affect the movement throughout the footage.
  43.
  44. We certainly do not see the "dropped frame" phenomenon taking place with a FIXED camera with minimal to normal movement in IDEAL conditions (lighting and otherwise).
  45.
  46. To claim "dropped frames" are responsible a "known good" must be presented.
  47.
  48. It is curious to note that although a "known good" example simply cannot be found the same glitch occurs routinely during "ISS" footage. So one would think the glitch is quite common! How can it be that on the "ISS" the glitch is common but on Earth the glitch is rare?!
  49.
  50. One "plausible explanation" I have not yet heard but have for a while anticipated is the idea the "ISS" itself has "moved" or "shifted" during the glitch - thus for a moment the camera is not strictly fixed. There are a thousand and one problems with this excuse but I will note them when the time comes.
  51.
  52.
  53. *ALSO*
  54. Remember - the video recording quality of the alleged "ISS" is not high. In that "interview set" where they do the "longer sequences" the video quality is always low. They do not seem to be recording in high resolution/quality.
  55.
  56.
  57.
  58. *POTENTIAL EXCUSES* (I haven't come across these but at some point expect to)
  59. It might be blamed on two things: 1) The hard-drive used to store/record the footage might be "fragmented"; 2) Where they are archiving the footage might also be introducing glitches. Both of these problems are BS and do not stand up to scrutiny for what we are observing.
  60.
  61.
  62.
  63. *SUMMARY*
  64.
  65. If the alleged "ISS" is BS then the footage must necessarily also be faked. It would require cleverly stitching multiple shorter duration segments together. How to do this? You would join the clips as best you could. If it cannot be done in a way that is unnoticeable then you would simply mask the joining and make it look like a "normal video recording glitch" such as "dropped frames".
  66.
  67. It can never be proven it isn't dropped frames but yet a "known good example" that replicates what we see on the alleged "ISS" cannot be found either. Since most people believe it is real (they are "belief controlled") and WANT to believe there is a "real and manned International Space Station" they simply dismiss it as a "dropped frame" glitch.
