SRF IT – ProjectWise N: Drive User Identifier Change – Sunday 03/01
Who should read this:	All SRF employees using ProjectWise
What it's regarding: 	This Sunday 03/01, we are changing the node identifier that tells ProjectWise who owns files on the N: drive from %ComputerName% to %UserName%
What you need to know:	By changing this node identifier, the temporary files downloaded by ProjectWise will be marked as owned by username rather than computer. Since these files will be in the N: drive, regardless of VDI session, this will enable users to control their files even if their VDI session changes.

This eliminates some of the slowdowns and issues users were experiencing when using ProjectWise in VDI.

The two main things to keep in mind with this setting change are:
•	This change will be done on Sunday, and ProjectWise will consider uses afterwards to be a new node – similarly to when a user changes VDI sessions. This should be the last major time this happens.
•	Files need to be checked in when this change happens, or users will need to submit a ticket if they end up locked out of files.
What you need to do: 	Please make sure to checked in files before Sunday.
Please submit a ticket to IT if locked out of a file.
