Background : Mei was born in Japan, and moved to Korea at age 1 so she has little to no memories of her birth place. Mei grew up with a low class family. Her family wasn't super poor, but they weren't in middle class just quite yet. Her mother and dad had her at considerably young ages. Her parents had her considerably young, but not over the top. Her mom, 21 and her dad, 23. Her parents were well known under ground artists and Mei grew up as an underground rapper as well, taking on her parents 'careers'. She had a younger brother, 9 years younger than her and she grew up trying to be the best sister she could be, and acting protective and sweet towards him. As Mei was growing up, she had a friend, who was like her older brother she's never had named Namjoon. His father was friends with hers and they grew up together and he cared for Mei. However, at some point he left to go pursue his dreams, which Mei supported. At age 17, she was having a freestyle rap in the streets and after she was going home, bam! She got scouted into the Kpop industry. She decided to become a trainee to gain money for her family. Plus, she could possibly meet Joonie again!

Personality : Mei is very quiet and distant when our first meet her, and tends to be seen as mean and cold. She doesn't talk too much to those she doesn't know, but she does act respectful towards others. She has an intimidating and cool era, which scares some people away from her. However,  Once you get to know her and she opens up, you find she is actually very calm, chill, caring, and a good person. She is a good person to go chill with and she is a confident and strong-willed, independent person. If she's comfortable with you, she talks more and is more open-minded. Mei can get unusually shy when she gets complimented or much attention is on her. She easily blushes and gets flustered easily, which is adorable since she isn't usually like that.

•Namjoon/Rap Monster of BTS because she grew up with him and when he became successful, she always supported him.

Why they wanted to be an idol : To help support her family financially and to live her dreams of becoming a rapper

Why they wanted to join the show: She thought it was an interesting concept and hey, she gets to see Namjoon after all those years!

On stage personality :She acts very cool and badass on stage. Her rapping comes off as strong and confident, giving big impressions to others. When she's in stage, she always tries to give it her 200%.

Off stage personality : She becomes much more calm and reserved. She stays with her cool era, but not as bad ass when she performs and raps.

Beginning of the show: More quiet and less comfortable when near the BTS members as she doesn't get too close with strangers too easily.
End of the show: You can definitely see how much her friendship has grown with them being more comfortable and relaxed ear them.
