- Two aboriginal women who were taken from their parents and put up for adoption in white homes during the so-called "60s scoop" are the lead plaintiffs in a lawsuit against the Canadian government. The claim, which has not been proven in court, alleges the Adopt Indian Metis program in the 1960s and 1970s led to physical, sexual and emotional abuse.

- Two aboriginal women who were taken from their parents and put up for adoption in white homes during the so-called "60s scoop" are the lead plaintiffs in a lawsuit against the Canadian government.
- Regina-based lawyer Tony Merchant filed statements of claim this week in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Alberta and is trying to get the suit certified as a class action.
- The claim, which has not been proven in court, alleges the Adopt Indian Metis program in the 1960s and 1970s led to physical, sexual and emotional abuse.
