  1. >Wake up, tied to a table
  2. >Spit out the rag that was in my mouth, take a look around
  3. >Why am I in my living room and why am I tied to my coffee table
  4. “Oh good! You’re awake! Sorry I had to put you to sleep, please try not to panic and yell so much, I’m not here to hurt you!”
  5. Oh yeah, that’s why. I woke from nap to find a mint green unicorn standing on my chest, and when I did the reasonable thing (flip out) she knocked me out.
  6. “Anyway, my name is Lyra Heartstrings, and it’s great to finally meet you!”
  7. “I know who you are, but why are you here? For that matter, how did you get here? And can you untie me?”
  8. Her horn glows, the ropes untie themselves and fall off. I start to sit up but Lyra pounces on my chest. She’s not very heavy but I don’t want to throw her off, so I stay on my back.
  9. “Cultural exchange! We can only learn so much from watching your TV programs and movies, so I petitioned the Princess to let me come over and spend some time in your world and let you come over and spend some time in ours. But now I’m getting ahead of myself, I had a whole thing prepared for you, hold on.”
  10. She hops off and goes digging through a saddlebag; I take the chance to move off the table and on to the couch. When she pulls her head out of the bag she’s wearing the cutest little sunglasses and ‘holding’ (geez magic is unsettling) two small bottles.
  11. She clears her throat does her best to pretend she hasn’t rehearsed this moment a thousand times already. “You take the blue potion and the story ends. You wake up in your b…couch as a human and go on believing whatever you want to believe. You take the red potion and you go to the magical land of Equestria and have wonderful adventures with talking ponies.”
  12. She’s holding out the red bottle, clearly she wants me to play along with her little game. What the hell right? If I’m already seeing marshmallow horses, what harm could taking their magic drugs do?
  13. Her face lights up as I take the bottle from the air and pull the cork. “This isn’t going to poison me, is it?”
  14. “Nope! Totally safe! Probably!”
  15. I down the bottle, she pulls the cork on the blue one and downs it too.
  16. "So, what now? And what exactly did I just drink?"
  17. "We wait, those were transformation potions and they shouldn't take long to take effect."
  18. "Transformation? I didn't sign up for that"
  19. "Well you can't very well go to Equestria as a human, can you? You'd stick out like a sore thumb!" She grins and looks at her hooves in anticipation.
  20. "I guess, it's just going to take some getting used to…" I'm interrupted by a surprised gasp from the little pony. "Oh gosh it's starting, can you feel it anon?"
  21. I don't feel any different, so I sit back and watch Lyra as the magic takes effect.
  22. She's growing larger, her limbs stretching and separating out in to hands and feet, she moans in pleasure as her body reshapes itself into a tall, slender human form. That's when I feel the cool, tingly wave of magic wash over me. It happens so fast I hardly have time to react; my fingers swell and meld together into big poofy hooves. I manage to get my shirt over my head before they're too unwieldy to handle, and my pants slide off easily enough. I start to push down my boxers (She's totally nude, standing around admiring herself so I figure propriety be damned) when the world shifts and grows around me.
  23. That's when the pain starts.
  24. You've probably never felt your spine attempting to tear itself out of your body, and to be honest, neither have I. I guess there's not really a proper reaction for such a thing, so I went with my gut instinct of flail my way off the couch while screaming in an adorably high pitch voice.
  25. My little shitshow of falling off couch and flopping around on the floor caught Lyra's attention pretty quick. "Oh my gosh, are you ok? What's going on? Where does it hurt?"
  26. "Pain… spine" are the only words I can manage
  27. "Painkillers, I brought painkillers, where are the painkillers." While she's digging through her bag, I get a nice view of her ass while my back splits itself open
  28. "Candy's too slow, here we are" She pulls out a crudely rolled cigarette and stares at it for a second, looking perplexed. "Fire, how do you make fire without magic?"
  29. "Matchbox… kitchen… bottom drawer" She runs off for a moment, again her taut butt provides the smallest distraction from what feels like my spine trying to remove itself from my body. She returns with a lit joint in her mouth and pauses for just a moment to stare at my back.
  30. "Breathe deep" she tells me as she takes a drag, kneels down and shotguns it in to my mouth.
  31. "And again" I can't help but cough as the cool (slightly minty) smoke fills my lungs.
  32. "One more time" This one's not so rough; I can already feel the pain receding.
  33. "So what's the deal with your back? We've done this a few times and I've never heard of anything like that happening" She's sitting on the couch now, finishing off the rest of the pot.
  34. "I guess having a whole bunch of science embedded in one's back in the form of a metal brace causes a bit of interference with your magic."
  35. "I'll say. It looks like the growth has stopped, if you've got a mirror you might want to check it out."
  36. "Yeah, bathroom's down the hall, what do you mean by growth?" I shoot her a confused look. She picks me up (quite easily, I must not weigh much) and holds me at arm's length as she carries be along.
  37. I understand why once she holds me up to the mirror. At first I just see an athletic, mint haired twenty-something holding up a vaguely depressed maroon unicorn, but when she turns me to the side my jaw drops. The steel rods which used to be nicely embedded under my skin are now smoky quartz crystals that jut out randomly across my back.
  38. "Well that's going to take some getting used to. At least you turned out nicely, eh?"
  39. She grins as she curls me up with a single arm. "Heck yes I did! I can't wait to try this body out. How about you, want to try some magic?"
