This pendant is not shaped traditionally in the way many of magical make are. Nor is it truly 'shaped'. The base itself is comprised of a key, repeatedly dipped and layered in a mixture of orchilacum and arcanium, giving it a brilliantly burnished golden-green sheen that sets it apart from its more mundane kin. All details of the underlying piece have been kept, from the slight pitting around the key's eye to the edges of its teeth.

Nested in the loop of the key's handle, where normally would be empty space to place it on a ring, is set a multi faceted gemstone that takes up the entirety of the void. It glistens, it gleams, and every beam of light or stray spell that sets on it is diffracted into an array of dazzling colors.

Though the key is inanimate, driven by no obvious source in particular, it does seem to pull from time-to-time upon the orchilacum chain it hangs from. It tugs, as if to suggest a direction to its wearer. Where could it be trying to lead them to?...
