  1. Vanarya let herself get a little sloppy. She took a few hits from rocks and the like, a crazed grin on her face the entire time. And then a rock flew at her face. The Oscuri raised an eyebrow and then punched it, water wrapping around her hand as she did and shattering the earth with barely any effort. She began to respond, and soon rain was lashing at the Drakanite, then lightning was striking them, then wind was batting them about. Vanarya -who hadn't even drawn her sword- effortlessly burst into lightning, appeared in front of the Drakanite and seized her throat, a blast of wind pushing her into the air as she did a flip, her hold bringing the Drakanite with her.
  2.
  3. Ren found themself slammed into the grass, then lifted by the collar. The Queen stared into the drakanite's eyes for a moment, then punched them in the face one, twice, thrice. Finally, a fourth punch moved with far more strength behind it, and the Queen rendered the Drakanite at least momentarily unconscious. She staggered back a few steps, arms raised in exaggerated victory. "Who's next?!" Her reika lines were blazing.
  4. (Vanarya Kyros)
  5.
  6. As the fight came to a close, the Sarradian watched on patiently-- studying the power of the storm, an art he was being taught by the Queen herself-- in a sense, at least... She found something within him for whatever reason and decided he was worthy of being taught correctly. Maybe it was being her step-daughter's best friend-- or something else.
  7.
  8. Regardless, after it was over, the Sarradian chimes in -- when the Queen was finished with whatever she was to say to the Drakanite.
  9.
  10. "Err ... Will fight next if wants to see how good are with the storm magic if wants, Queen..!" He offers!
  11.
  12. ... Hopefully, she wasn't angry enough to forget he was her beloved and favourite and cutest student
  13. (Zephyr)
  14. Well Ren fucking charged alright. They tried at least. Spike's of earth appearing around them along with holy energy scraping vanarya's armore ever so slightly. There was more impact to Ren when they were up close flying and slinging spell's as best as they could like a maniac. Earthen wave's fire that was neutralized by more wind. Ren pushed this closeness to actual do thing's to Vanarya maybe even moving them slightly. Either way.
  15.
  16. It was a far better showing then what Vanarya had seen last round. Ren lacked any real training. But had some power behind them one would suppose. Though their magic was rather hard countered by Vanarya's magic. Agasint another person. Ren may have stood a better chance. Agasint Vanarya.
  17.
  18. Ren did the best they honestly could But Ren wasent a match for the Queen of Altero's. Hopefully it wasent too dissapointing. His movement's might have at least had the fight last several minute's unlike most mage battle's.
  19.
  20. It ended. When Vanarya punched that rock and Caught Ren. Ren tried to honetly kick out their body igniting. But 1. 2. 3. 4. Punch's. Made Ren pass out...They would most likely wake up in a few moment's...Ren was used to pain. Once it passed. They would be back. Their holy magic was still at work after all healing their minor wound's.
  21.
  22. (Ren Alexander Hertlend)
  23. Trolly of course was not even giving two fucks abput Ren's condition at the time being. Trolly seem to be very much wanting to fight. The girl all forgotten about as the Mimic would hear the Queen state who was next. Trolly was abou to approach when Zep would step up. Trolly of course would gaze at him and shrug.
  24.
  25. "Trolly go next then. Have fun Zep."
  26.
  27. In a way maybe ep be the perfect person to watch the Queen go all out on. This was good enough. He was patient and calm also. Artos knew what Trolly could do but the others. No, they haven't witnessed it. Yet, he never seen Zep fight.
  28.
  29. Walking over to Ren he would look at her.
  30.
  31. "You...got...beat...up. No worries pain makes stronger. Trolly knows this very well."
  32. (Trolly)
  33. The child simply observed. There was no way in hell he was stepping into a ring with that monster, nope, nada, zilch, no chance. He was baffled by the desire of the Sarradian and, Trolly? How could two be so willing to, well, lose-- and there wasn't a chance the queen was pulling any punches, not as fired up as she was.
  34.
  35. Thus the Neries remained where he was.
  36. (Artos Azer)
  37. Zephyr: inventory
  38. Zephyr: nice
  39. Zephyr, huh? Well, she supposed she could summon a little irritation at his name, perhaps. The Queen gave a short nod, gesturing to where the Drakanite rested unconscious, a subtle twitch generating enough wind magic to unceremoniously dump them off to the side and out of the way. The Queen shifted into a fighting stance, eyebrow slightly raised. Admittedly she was mildly impessed Zephyr was willing to face her, even in a spar. Time would tell whether that was bravery or a lack of understanding.
  40.
  41.
  42.
  43. Of course, just because she was teaching Zephyr, didn't mean she was going to go easy on him or pull any more punches than she usually did. She released a calm breath, reika lines pulsing green as the Storm intensified once more. She gave a short nod to Zephyr. She was ready when he was. Perhaps the child would impress her. She hoped so.
  44. (Vanarya Kyros)
  45. He walks forwards-- Trolly was giving him this, so he'd accept it gracefully. He was going to try and show the Queen 'what he had' in terms of magic-- he was, after all ... Her student! The Sarradian intended to try his best against the Queen.
  46.
  47. Just because she was a Queen didn't mean he'd hold back-- it was likely he was to be beaten into the ground, after all. Regardless, the Sarradian prepares to fight against the queen. His hands are held downwards -- slowly coming up as a light veil of mist begins to flow off of them. From then does it thicken, visible to the eye-- and from afar as the begin to darken.
  48.
  49. Storm clouds begin to surge around his body-- he begins to fly, and the wind picks up around him. It certainly wasn't mastered to a degree that she'd like... But it was clear he struggled with it less. The circuits within his body feel drained as he summons forth the cloud, though certainly not as fried -- literally, as before.
  50.
  51. Vanarya had taught him a lot, and in this moment, he would show her what she'd taught him. The clouds around him harbor lightning that detailed his primary element's true power-- and barriers of mana surge around him in response to blasts of her own magic every few moments.
  52.
  53. ... THEN he makes the first move! A blast of lightning magic-- clouds attempting to carry him in closer. His storm clouds are shaky since lightning isn't binding them together, but on the bright side, it doesn't damage him like they'd done before...
  54. (Zephyr)
  55. Ren was blown aside. The wayside nice and comfy. As Ren startled awake meekly. Giving a small low groan. Ren rose bone's crackling...Ren might have broken.....Something. A sigh. Holy magic covering and numbing them as they turned around and layed down watching the fight tiredly. Out of Breath. Only running on Mana to stay awake looking to the two others who were close by Ren spoke quietly.
  56.
  57. "....Ren need's to get better at phrasing thing's....Ren think's Her Majesty...got the wrong idea.
  58. (Ren Alexander Hertlend)

  70. He was an alright fighter, she'd give him that much. As it was she was fighting at about a little under half her full intensity, but he still held out remarkably well. His storm attempt was most certainly not weak, but Vanarya was stronger. They traded blows several times, lightning strikes, water blasts, waves of wind all having their part. After being blown back particularly hard Vanarya finally unsheathed Storm's Edge, the blade almost singing in her hand. She'd used the sword for almost two decades, and was at this point quite strongly attuned to it.
  71.
  72. Originally the blade had only been of use as a channel for her magic, but as the years had passed she had properly trained with it, and now -although she would always be a better magic user than a swordswoman- she was quite proficient in its use. The blade hummed as it so often did as she pushed lightning through it, and all at once the Storm converged upon Zephyr, tearing about his own clouds and adding them to Vanarya's collective. She exploded into lightning, reappearing in front of him long enough to say "Boo!" before she smacked him in the head with the hilt of her sword, darting back on quick feet and falling once more into a fighting stance. Round one was over, and Vanarya was the victor. Unsurprisingly.
  73. (Vanarya Kyros)
  74.
  75. Trolly would watch the fight over and over. Zep was powerful and had many magics. Trolly was impressed on how his friend kept up with the Queen. Though he saw the strain on his friend. The boy was fighting a very experienced woman. She had been having a hard time. Trolly seem to be getting just even more excited.
  76.
  77. Was this what it was like?
  78.
  79. The stoms were bursting all over. Both magi giving their all. Trolly simply gazing and watching over and over. Zep though would go down. Though this didn't bother Trolly. He knew his friend was not done. Trolly was so concentrated on the fight he would hear a voice speaking to him.
  80.
  81. Blinking Trolly would look at the Neries.
  82.
  83. "Shhhh big fight. Must watch in silence."
  84.
  85. Completely entranced.
  86. (Trolly)
  87. He was trying his best here, one had to give him that. He wasn't sa skilled with the storm, obviously, as the Queen before him, but the Sarradian was doing pretty well. The mana barriers that his lifeblood erected seemed to do amazing in response to her magic-- providing a shield against her for brief moments... Perhaps there was even a chance for him.
  88.
  89. Of course, that was the dream. Despite everything he could try-- as the land around them grows mildly terraformed from the might of his own nature magic -- seeds within the chain across his chest falling to the ground to activate their own, unique enchantments...
  90.
  91. The Queen was stronger than him in every way-- he may have been stronger than the Hertlend who'd just gotten their tush beaten in, but he wasn't strong enough to stand up to the Queen's might as she ripped apart his own clouds, stealing them.
  92.
  93. Something he'd taught Caerus to be wary of-- an elementalist stealing your elements... As he falls to the ground, helped up by his vines, the Sarradian had to try and win.
  94.
  95. He knew he couldn't, but it would be an amazing story if he could. He becomes weightless once more-- commands given to the air to allow him the power of flight. The wind around him grows vicious and tears once more, and storm clouds begin to brew around his body, infused with his own primary element-- electromancy.
  96.
  97. "... Are trying my best, Queen -- but are far stronger!" He congratulates. "... Am has a lot to learn." He murmurs, before the clouds around him prepare to help him strike once more.
  98.
  99. With a mana barrier surrounding him, he launches himself towards her!

  112. Zephyr: Omg
  113. Just like that, it seems that he's capable of besting his teacher. The queen of storms before him may have been powerful, but since she was holding back, and the Sarradian could very clearly see that, it becomes a simple test of how much he could play her.
  114.
  115. Perhaps she was simply giving him openings, but eventually, the Sarradian finds himself capable of literally snagging her clouds like a woman's weave-- tearing them away from the Queen.
  116.
  117. ... It was very likely that she was letting him. Holding herself back-- allowing him to experience the storm's power. The lightning infused within their clouds are used against the queen, with the Sarradian blasting at her with it -- bolts and arcs of lightning aiming to defeat her!
  118.
  119. Winds continue to grow furious around the young Sarradian as he stares-- could he pull through? Surely he could.
  120.
  121. "... Ah, the storm -- am feeling it now!" He declares. "Am feeling the might of the storm!" He exclaims, as dark clouds brew around him more than before-- infused with lightning, they were certainly a powerful conduit.
  122. (Zephyr)
  123. Tyria whispers something.
  124. Yes...intentionally letting him seize her clouds. That was definetly it. She certainly wasn't getting tired from the combination of stress, sleepless nights and previous fighting. No, she was simply letting him have openings. That made sense. The Queen couldn't not feel somewhat humiliated as she was beaten down by a child, and thunder crashed above them as the Queen unceremoniously seized back control of the storm above them.
  125.
  126. It seemed like this time she was the aggressor. Raising herself into a more aggressive position, she shifted Storm's Edge to point towards Zephyr, before abruptly bursting into lightning, roaming the storm in that form before crashing back down before Zephyr, Storm's Edge striking out in an attempt to catch him with the flat side. And just like that, once more they were off.

  137. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 2)
  138. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 1)
  139. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: Go!)
  140. Ren Alexander Hertlend: <....Am I supposed to fly off or wait until the queen approaches me>
  141. She did catch him with the flat side, following it up with two more taps with the blade. A followup bubble of water cleared enough distance that the Queen could work with what space she had. The two of them fell back into the rhythm of trading blows, albeit faster than before. Vanarya was highly impressed, the child she had tutored able to hold onto the storm she had helped him harness.
  142.
  143. It was true that she held back, but that was hardly unsurprising. Zephyr was still rather young. However, she was not holding back nearly as much as she had previously, so that by itself was impressing. Still, it had to end sometime. The Queen burst into lightning once more and reformed in front of Zephyr, sharply headbutting the Sarradian hard enough the it knocked him down, the Queen herself staggering back. Cool as it might look, headbutting hurt.
  144.
  145.
  146. She stepped forwards, reaching out a hand to help the kid up, should he need the assistance. "Impressive."
  147. (Vanarya Kyros)
  148. Trolly whispers: (are you in the 200s
  149. Zephyr whispers: (yep)
  150. Zephyr whispers: (no im 179)
  151. Trolly whispers: (shit i been slacking
  152. Trolly whispers: (lol really so am i lmao!
  153. Ren Alexander Hertlend whispers something.
  154. The storm was finally coming to him, and in this fight against a storm mage... It only felt more intense-- he knew what it felt like to fight against the storm, and he knew how powerful the storm should've been. His clouds are flung at her, charged with lightning-- and she'd likely throw some back in this battle. Either way, it almost felt evenly matched.. Even if she was holding back.
  155.
  156. Towards the end, however-- the Sarradian finds himself losing once more! She'd appeared before him in a whirl of storm magic, headbutting him-- knocking him down!
  157.
  158. The clouds around him dissipate-- vanishing.
  159.
  160. It was certainly something painful... The power of the Queen was far beyond his own-- though he felt content with how close he'd come.
  161.
  162. The hand is taken, and the young Sarradian would slowly come to a stand with her help. "... Urrgh, headbutting hurts." He frowns, pausing before he speaks.
  163.
  164. "... Did good, though? Did the storm right -- mostly right?" He questions, for only she could tell him...
  165. (Zephyr)
  166. Trolly had seen quite enough. He would see Zep was doing a amazing job. Now it was his turn. Trolly would see he did alot. Hell he was close from the looks that Queen was giving. Trolly wanted others to see him that way. Yet, he could not slack one bit. He was going to need more power than what he had so far.
  167.
  168. Trolly would need to do better and get better than what he could do so far.
  169.
  170. Zephyr was tough. To see in a way he was stronger than Trolly. He had to admit this indeed. His nature magic was quite useful. Though Trolly knew more pushes would need to be made now more than ever. Though Trolly would wait for if the Queen wanted to fight or not.
  171.
  172. Truly it was up if she still had the power to fight.
  173.
  174. He walk over to his friend and nod. "You fought well Trolly have to improve even more."
  175. (Trolly)
  176. Ren Alexander Hertlend: <Quietly inches closer to the group>
  177. Whomever the boy was held an incredulous amount of potential, Artos could see that from here. To best the queen in a bout, even if just one was an impressive feat in itself, but his age only further bolstered the merit of the achievement.
  178.
  179. He began to feel a little discouraged, he'd had so far to go... Could he even compete with Aamon? He had no reference to go off of, despite the calling, the king remained inconspicuous, elusive... He could see where Moa's frustration stemmed from. Nonetheless, Trolly was about to combat, or so it seemed. Dependent upon how well he did, Artos could judge whether or not he'd give it a whirl himself, that was if the queen wasn't too exhausted.
  180.
  181.
  182. (Artos Azer)
  183. Ren decided to bite the bullet walking over. Bruised and tired. Ren rubbed their head. Their cheek swelling just a little bit. Some cut's....Some kinda crackling sound coming from their right elbow. You know normal battle damage. Either way Ren had approached them.
  184.
  185. "...Well....That was an.......Experience for Ren."
  186.
  187. Most likely directed more at the other' s then the queen itself giving them a respectufl nod.
  188. (Ren Alexander Hertlend)
  189. The Queen nodded easily. "Yes, it does." Her own head was kind of throbbing now. Ren spoke, and a glare was shot at them. "Why are you still here?" the dismissal was clear. That said, the Queen turned her attention back to Zephyr. "You've come far. It won't be long until you can properly manifest it." the Queen complimented, Storm above them clearing as she finally finished expelling her anger. Now she just wanted to sleep.
  190.
  191. Giving a slight nod to Zephyr and Trolly, as well as a raised eyebrow towards the Neries boy, Vanarya began to make the trek back to the keep. She was done was socialising for today, it seemed. She'd had rather enough excitement for the day.
  192. (Vanarya Kyros)
